If we're sharing poo stories, here's mine:
The other week I had to go and rescue OH at the Coop. He took Alice out with a muslin as a nappy and no cover so when she did a (soft) poo it fell out. He didn't notice until after they had walked all round the shop. I went round with wipes and we went all round wiping the bits off the floor. :eek:Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Alice watches up to about five ten minute programmes a week. Before she was one she only watched a couple of times when she was ill with a cold. I think most children watch more than that though.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

thank goodness for in the night garden! Oz is extremely grouchy, due to lack of sleep - too busy rolling onto his belly every hour last night then wedging his legs in the bars, banging his head off the bars, reaching his arm through the bars to try and touch me, and also he seems to be teething at the back of his mouth. I can't see in properly but his little fingers are jammed back there.
but night garden to the rescue cos its keeping him quiet for 20 minutes. and relax.
oh home soon. thank goodness.
how much tv does everyone elses little ones watch? Oz is nearly 6 months and i let him watch maybe 2 programs a day.
Some days it'll be none and some days lots.....depends on the weather and how cooperative he's being about me leaving the room to make tea (he's still very clingy). We/he are out as much as poss so I never feel too bad about putting a little baby tv on when we are home.

oh and here's my poo story - from the dim and distant past.
When my ds1 was about 16/7 mths I had a friend come over to our house for the day. It was a warm summers day and hot enough for LO to be able to play naked in the garden. We used to have the odd accident then but as it was in the garden I'd just clean it up and let him get on with enjoying the freedom of being sans clothes.
Anyway my pal and I put Lo in his outdoor playpen and went for a walk around the house looking at the flowers etc and came back to LO about 2 mins later, only to find him smiling and giggling away and literally COVERED from head to foot in poo. I was mortified!! We laughed about it later after hosing him down outside and touching as little as possible.
DS1 tells that story to people with pride now......lolololololMSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
And this week's award for the best poo story goes to.... drumrolll... Susan and Alice, purely for the embarassment factor! :rotfl:
Tsstss is a good runner-up though! :rotfl:0 -
I seem to have the only baby in the world who is not in the slightest interested in In the Night Garden - all his friends love it, but not Alex
He's not really bothered about any TV programmes, but I'm sure that'll change in the years to come LOL :rolleyes:0 -
I have done my level best to avoid having the tv on too much. We generally have a Thomas available on sky +, along with an episode of ITNG. His latest thing is 'something special' - a Cbeebies program in Makaton. He sat and watched the 20 min program 2 and half times before he got off the sofa!roflThe IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

Archie doesn't watch it either Dormouse tried it once but he wasn't interested.....however he loves baby tv (which I pay for  ) and it certainly helps me get him away from me for long enough to make his meals ....
Have to say I agree with you on the winner of the poo story ....I laughed my head off when I imagined Susan trailing the shop finding poo marks to clean :rotfl: ...MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
i worry about my wee man watching too much but I spose as long as he isnt plonked in front of it all day every day then its all right. night garden is so strange - who comes up with these things?! me and my OH go round singing macha packa icka wacka woo and all the rest all day now. not good - especially for him cos he works lol. but it makes Oz laugh so it cant be that bad.
went through usual night time routine tonight - night garden, roly poly time with his dad, bath time, pjs on and feed and normally he goes straight to sleep but tonight he was looking at me and laughing as if to say "not tonight mummy, tonight i'm gonna play". put him in his cot and he starting doing acrobatics, then puked his feed up everywhere. so changed his sheet, changed him, and he was still laughing! Put him in cot and then i did a light show on the ceiling with a torch and that put him to sleep (might buy one of those cot toy things that have lights reflected on ceiling - any recommendations?).
He then woke 45 mins later having again rolled onto his belly and wedged his head up again the bars - its gonna be a long night!DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY
