Hi can I just ask what age you stop your lo have a morning nap?

My 22 month old still has two naps on the weekend- I think he catches up from being busy all week. He doesn't have to have two of them, but I appreciate them...:D
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.

I the end he fell asleep at 3.30 and slept for an hour, that was him in his cot since 1pm, crying on and off and carrying on, singing etc. He was out like a light at 7pm tho. I think ill try and stop him morning nap for a couple of days and see if it will work out. He may end up sleeping longer in the morning, at the mo he wakes up 6.30, but he is always tired.

Nic - Imogen dropped her morning nap around that age. Oh, how I miss that hour! Could you try one long nap at 11am instead of two if he's too tired to hang on til after lunch? Or try to get him down at 12.30pm?

Ella - Filey isn't too far from Pickering and is quie pretty (compared to Scarborough anyway!) If you're staying at a hotel why don't you give them a call and see what they suggest? Or the local tourist info people if you haven't already called them http://www.yorkshire.com/cps/rde/xchg/ytb/

York is very nice to visit and has a number of attractions, but probably not worth paying for a 1-yr old. I know Imogen liked going to Tropical World at around that age, which was mainly butterflies and fish in big tanks. I think Scarborough has a Sea Life Centre which would also be all indoors if the weather's bad. HTH and have a fabulous wedding & honeymoon. Don't forget to post some pics!

    Imogen's potty trained :T :T Clean, dry and going on 'my girl's toilet':j :j

I started last Thursday and she did really well at home with me for two days. My SIL had her for a few hours each day at the weekend and then she went to my mum's on Tuesday night until Saturday morning and only had a couple of accidents. She's even asking to go now instead of me reminding her all the time. Am so proud of my big girl.

Builders arrive tomorrow for our mammoth extension and I can't wait. I know it's going to be horrendous while they are at it (could take 8-12 wks) but it will all be worth it when we've 4 bedrooms and our own en-suite. And 3 times cheaper than moving makes it very MSE:money:

We've told Imogen Bob The Builder is coming to do her a new bedroom and she's dead excited! I've asked relatives to buy bed linen in the sale from Laura Ashley (would never have paid £45 for just a duvet and pillowcase:eek: ) and found some amazing wall paper which I hope I'll be brave enough to use. It will be a grown-up enough room for her to have for quite a few years, but girlie enough for her right now.

We won 6/7 at the awards do including outstanding in-house PR team of the year! And I went through it all sober!! Great thatI can remember it all though cos we had a fab night.

I'm now feeling increasingly sick and just crossing my fingers that it will all be okay for the next 8 weeks as I'm pretty sure I'm only 4 weeks gone. It feels like a lifetime to wait until we know we're safe.

You're own en-suite will pay for itself in years to come.

When the boys have been the bathroom and it's carnage with toys scattered everywhere, toothpaste all over the sink, soaking wet floor, wet towels in a heap on the floor etc., it's lovely to go in my own nice tidy and dry bathroom to chill out :D

Charlotte was very naughty today. I'm getting sick of our Tesco as loads of the trolleys have broken safety straps on. Couldn't find one with a working strap and I only wanted a few bits, so I just stuck her in the trolley without the strap. Took my eyes off her while I was deciding what to buy off a shelf and the little monkey was standing in the seat when I turned back. She got told off, but then she kept leaning as if she was going to fall out and laughing. Little horror!
Here I go again on my own....

Naps? What are they? For some reason Henry never wants to nap with me. At nursery he will nap for 2 hours, with my mum he will have 3 naps but for me he hardly ever naps. he's had another jab today and looked really tired when we were at the drs but now he is full of life and doesnt have any intention of going to sleep!

Decided that he sleeps better now at night on his front, OH discovered it and thinks he's the bees knees now.. although the last couple of nights we have had the dreaded cough back again which hasnt helped...

Am sure I missed a few birthdays over the weekend..CG's LO Daniel and a few others so Belated Happy Birthday if I did.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
  • I still make my two go for a nap (18mths and 32 months) because I need the break!

Well, the childminder did warn us some two weeks ago (another kid had it) and here it is. Joseph has chicken pox. I'm really proud for some reason , his first childhood disease :happyhear .
I do hope he's not too young. But at the moment we only have a few spots and no other symptoms, although I do have lotion on standby - and no idea what to expect .

On a disgusting note, now that baby is asleep, I have a kitchen to clean. Joseph thought it was great to play in the dog's water bowl, so we have water everywhere... and the dog thought it was great to play with a dirty nappy she fished out of the bin . E.U.G.H.
