  • Congratulations LuT on your pregnancy, another one with a second child on the way!

I'm surrounded by pregnant women at the moment, I guess its that time when people are thinking about their second one (normally). There are quite a few from my post natal group which are pregnant and in my over 1's toddler group.

I hope it all goes well for you. My brother and I had a 2.5 yr age gap.

Can't remember if I said, but Mollly has been crawling for a fortnight now and today she pulled herself up to standing, which she has been trying to do for ages. She was so chuffed with herself. I got DH to lower her cot to the bottom before her lunchtime nap. Cruising and walking to go now. Will be better for Jack, he really wants a playmate!

She has beaten Jack at every milestone so far and we thought he was quick. I have this theory that although he was fast in a 4 hr delivery, Molly's 2 hr delivery makes her superquick at her milestones too! The only thing Jack may beat her at is first tooth, but even then he was 10.5 months, so she may white-wash him.

Not that we want to encourage sibling rivalry or make it a competition or anything, but its funny to flaunt in DH's face that girls in this family don't hang about and are quick on the up-take.

If you have a computerised MOT certificate (and they may all now be computerised) you might be able to do it online! Not sure if you can after it's actually run out, but worth a try.

Hi ladies, Elliot had his first night away from home and slept in his travel cot for the first time! I was worried he'd not like it, as his moses basket is obviously a lot smaller at home, but he loved it! I woke up to find him all stretched out in a star fish shape! He was really good over the weekend, so im really pleased with him! It was also his longest car journey (over 2 hours), but he slept most the time.

Well its official my baby has grown up (well he is one tomorrow) he's now totally on cows milk for drinking. Do you still sterilise the bottles/teats when they are on cows milk? And another silly question do I need to wind him as well.

Oh by the way....:j Happy 1st Birthday Samantha for today:j

I believe you are supposed to sterilise bottles and teats as long as you use them. (Although I believe some countries say that if they're washed in the dishwasher then it is not necessary to keep sterilising them beyond a certain age.)

  • I fail to see the point in sterilising beyond the age of weaning, and failing that, crawling, when everything goes in their mouths.

Although Elliot has been mostly breastfed he has had milk and water from a cup since 6 months and I have never sterilised these. Washing with very hot soapy water is good enough.

And I would not wind a 1 year old!
