I have a question, everywhere I read says non-breastfeeding mums should have their period 6-8wks after giving birth. Kai will be 10wks on Sunday and I have absolutely no signs what-so-ever....did anybody else take this long to have their first period. I am only a teeeny bit worried because we had unprotected sex twice. Although I doubt I am pregnant, I just want to start getting back to normal.
Mel xplease don't tell me you're gonna be one of 'those' mums my HV was talking about at parentcraft
I didn't realise I'd had my period but the GP said it was, My lochia was going and had gone to more of a mucky discharge and then back to blood for about 3 days and then drifted off again, GP said that little bleed was a period. Did you have anything like that where is slowed/stopped then started again?
If in doubt do a test tho!0 -
ahh a while back I found this about bumpers being OK and NOT being a SIDs riskA further 32% wrongly identified cot bumpers as a risk, but research has shown that they have neither good nor bad effects in terms of cot death risk.0

We had a crib bumper with Poppy without any problems and took it off when she could sit up by herself. Master Jamie, however, already has his taken off as he's managed to get his mittens behind and under it! And he's that strong he keeps rocking it by himself dislodging the pin that stops if from moving and ends up on an angle with an arm hanging out!. Glad I use Grobags otherwise his legs would be freestyle too!
He now has two teeth and can roll over...newborn? What happened there then? Blink and you miss it! :rotfl:
Both Poppy and Jamie's passports arrived last night (most randomly at 8pm by courier) so we're all set for our first family holiday and I can't wait!.
MFD, hope your morning went well.

I think they will be ok but will need to be washed at a temperature above 60 degrees, as it is only above this temperature all the dustmites and bugs are killed. Also if they have come from a smoking home it might be safer not to use them.

Mel x
Mel, my bleeding only lasted a few weeks this time but I still hadn't had a period at 8w (when I had my check) but I then went on to the POP.
Do you have any spare tests? I still have 9 from the 10 pack I bought off eBay!

Aimee got given an all in one 2nd hand that she's just grown out of... But she wore it all the time, she really did love it... I avoided it for a while around potty training and getting dry at night but she managed to figure it out herself after a while... She used to leave the bathroom light on if she got up for a wee but hasn't for ages so I thought she was just sleeping through... But lying there with my pregnancy insomnia the other night, I heard her get up.. Go to the loo... Put the light off again and go back to bed... Considering she had to sleep with a light on in her bedroom only a couple of months ago, I was really proud of her! She's so grown up now

A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Weezl El didn't like the transition from moses basket to cot and it was many sleepless nights so the HV suggested rolling up a towels and popping it by her side so she felt secure and it worked so we bought her this more because she like to sleep on her side
http://shop.babyworld.co.uk/DisplayDetail.aspx?prodid=955&secid=66
So this kept her on her side and saved her waking me up to put her back, but once she could roll she chose to sleep on her tummy.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -

... I found them invaluable and protecting my kamikaze boy and also keeping his dummy from falling out of the cot!
