I thought of something else about formula...

Although hungry baby formula is slightly more expensive, don't be tempted anyone to just give a bit more of the usual stuff. This is because there are strict regulations of the calorie content of formula to protect against childhood obesity. Hungry baby formula doesn't have extra calories, it has a different balance of whey to cassein which increases the feelings of fullness for the baby....

MFD- hope your day being career girl is good, Well done for tackling it :D

hugs for all who need them.

Sami Bee when's your due date? Naughty you for not plopping it in your sig so we can keep track :):p

Has Kristal had any exciting news yet?:j

Emlou, I should've sent you all those cute outfits for seth, and just gotten on with babygros!:D Seems like you guys are saying it's part of giving your child clues about daytime and nighttime. I hadn't thought of that, but he definately seems to think something different is going on when he goes in his sleeping bag, so maybe that does the trick!

Yes just about, i'll give it a try.

    It works AM.
We've had a sticky eye a couple of times. We did cooled boiled water and cotton wool for a few days, then the HV suggested a bit of boobie milk instead - it was gone next morning.

The breastmilk thing definitely works on sticky eye, in about 20mins flat as well, its amazing!

Whoever said why do they make the cutey outfits in 0-3 if no one bothers to wear them, its for people like me who have small babies, Millie was still in 0-3 well past 6 months old and well over the babygro stage,

I've put Eloise in clothes right from the start but Millie did live in babygros for the first 10wks or so.

That was me millie's mum, :D I guess kids do look a bit odd wearing them after a certain point! We've been given them in an 18 month size tho, is that just for night time? I've never really thought much about baby clothes, always having been one of those women who never thought they'd have kids...

Awwww millie is lovely and petite then, she will be the envy of her female friends all her life!!! ;)

Kristal, hugs and labour dust for you! Are the BH getting stronger?

Yeah, they were quite painfull last night, I couldn't make my mind up whether they were Bill Hicks or the real thing... But seeing as they stopped when I got up at 1am for a walk round and some raisin wheats I'm guessing they weren't the real thing...

I still liked to put Aimee in all in ones for bed when she was over 1... As she didn't have any hair she still looked very babyish and innocent...

Morning all. I'll say one thing for these imunisations - they are good for making baby sleep. Izzy slept straight through last night :T:T. I know it is just a one off due to the injections, but still I feel so much better for it :)

lady - congrats on izzy's sleep!

    MFD - good luck x

clothes - our LO wears babygrows at night and at home days. for going out/special occassions she gets 'dressed', but i have quite traditional taste and love little dresses and soft/baby colours. no denim or trendy outfits in this house! she's still wearing 0-3 clothes at 15 wks.

formula - we combination feed breast and formula. we started on sma gold, but have switched to aptimil as its much closer to beastmilk IMO - and makes baby less windy. i've seen the hipp organic but not tried it - i'm interested in anyone's experience.......

i believe there are very mixed opinions on hungry baby milk due to its make-up - one friend swears by it, but i have also read some research claiming its not suitable until babys kidneys are fully developed. not wanting to start a debate/argument - just pointing out as it seems to echo the weaning debate issues we had earlier this week!

LO fast asleep in my arms for a cat nap - she's so cute x

Hi r.mac, thanks for that. If you ever have chance to find a linkie to that research, I'd be really interested!:D
