Gaah, now a day after the fever seems to have settled and he seems cheery again, OH just called to say there is a rash all over his mid-section. So to doctor we go this afternoon now.

Bruno, that's a really common thing... When they have a virus, once the temperature is gone a pinprick rash can develop on them... As long as it blanches (goes white when you rub a finger over it) then it's generally nothing to worry about...

Bruno - sounds like chicken pox to this completely untrained mind :undecided

Nah Sami, chicken pox is more likely to start in the armpits and finger cracks (hot sweaty places) 1 spot at a time than across a tummy in a rash...

Tend to think you're right Krystal but it's been enough of a stressful week of sickness that we'll go to the doctor this time. He does seem ok though otherwise.

Oh yeah, always get it checked out by a Dr if your worried... We ended up taking Aimee to A&E with her viral rash because the Dr couldn't fit us in and my Mum was convinced it was measles... It appeared ever so quick, one minute she was fine... Next minute her neck was a bit red... Minute after that her whole body was red and blotchy... Followed a couple of days of fever for no apparent reason too... The hospital were really good, saw her straight away and the Dr's were really nice about it all... Didn't make me feel like an over reacting Mum or anything...

  • Hope he is okay Bruno.

Well there is something amiss with my little boy...he is only sleeping for 30 or 40 minutes at a time and then waking up in a vile mood. I have been waiting for the time when he is awake more during the day but he is still a baby in the fact that he seems to need more time sleeping than not. During the day at least, evenings are a different matter.

I suppose I should just go with the flow - I was talking to a lady yesterday who is still in the 'can't put him down to eat anything' stage, at least that is over!!

It's cold and miserable in the West Midlands which is such a shame, we could do with a nice long walk

Gonna give the wii fit a go instead - Benjamin likes to do step aerobics with me ;):D

MFD - just another thought. we didn't try and bedtime routine until last week - our LO just wan't interested in sleeping. She wanted to be feeding or just up sitting with us. She's reacting to bedtimes well now though - i think she just needed to be a baby and have lots of cuddles :D
