    Booby groups are fantastic!

And ty sami, I fed Aimee until she was nearly 3... and at a booby group was about the only 'public' place I would of done it then... What I've found is a lot of women start going when they have a tiny baby... And because they're such nice groups of people, they tend to hang around as long as possible... Some have to stop going to go back to work, but it's not unusual to find most of the babies in one group are all 18-24m old... With occasional tiny babies joining in... And I still take Aimee along to my 2 groups when she's not at school...

Mel, thanks for the info on the pushchair... Sounds about as much hassle as my big pram to fold really... I shall keep on in my buggy quest... (I was hoping to find a good one at the baby show on Sunday but doesn't look like I'll make it now... This baby is holding firm...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Exciting week here in the Millie and Eloise household, we've been out to mums and tots on tues & discovered the surestart place today which unfortunately doesn't have a booby club and I got some funny looks when I stared BFing in the middle of a talk about weaning today. We are going swimming for the first time tomorrow. Housework has not been done all week, need to find a balance somehow!

Got a cheque £40 from a market research I did when pregnant, today and I'm going to another one for £40 tomorrow (about BFing) so might buy a wii-fit or possibly a buggy with that (yippee) and the Emma Jane lady is putting me something in the post.

Ello was weighed today and she is 9lb 4oz which is great but I wish she would grow a bit quicker cos she is not going to sleep through until she weighs a bit more (about 12lb I reckon) and I really need a good nights sleep, she goes down at 8ish and sleeps til 2-3 ish but then she wakes up every hour or so til 6 when I give up and get up!

Millie, izzy is nearly 15lb and doesn't sleep through! She will do 8-4am on a good night, then go back down for another 1-2 hours, but we seem to have got stuck at that point. As of yesterday I'm not talking to her when we get up in the night (well... I think I did a tiny bit last night, but not much) so that she only wakes me up if she is actually hungry, rather than for a chat. I felt like such a mean mummy though, so if it doesn't make any difference over the next few days I will give in I think. Having started weaning today will hopefuly make a bit of difference too. She was definitely in a better mood this afternoon, but that could have been coincidence!

ladybird, the not talking to them in the night is a big thing, I remember with millie if you talked to her in the night she thought it was playtime and wouldn't go back off.

The 12lb thing was cos they reckon they are not capable of sleeping through til they are 14lb but I know mil slept through before then and I do think she needs a bit more weight on her before she'll do it.

To be honest its just a way of convincing myself that she will do it in the end, you know what I mean? the same way you say to yourself you'll BF for another fortnight rather than saying I'll do it for 6months cos that seems too far away?

    Did that make any sense?

It makes perfect sense to me :) Realistic goals and all that. I'm off to sleep now while the going is good. Izzy didn't go down till nearly 9 today (started bedtime routine later than normal, and had a lovely long massage and a chat after her bath too, so it all took a while!) so I'm hoping I can get a good few hours before I get disturbed!

I think for about the first five months all people saw of Celia was the back of her head as she cheerfully sucked away but now she's settled down a lot! :-)

Tom was like that. He still would be if I let him but I'm trying to limit feeds to eveings - is it only me who finds feeding exhausting or am I just a wuss? I loved feeding DD but find it a bit of an ordeal feeding Tom, especially as he scratches and gropes the whole time he's feeding. His ideal feed would be with one boob in his mouth and the other one squeezed tight in his fist.

Alice used to scratch a lot (think it was mainly around about 9-13 months ish). I started giving her a toy to play with (a twiddly rattly thing she got for her first birthday) and that seemed to help break the habit.

Toby likes to drink with a finger in each side of his mouth. Makes for a very messy feed! He also likes to gurgle and make noises. Its lovely when he is finished though, I take the bottle away and he smacks his lips together and goes 'Ahhh'. Really sounds like he enjoyed it!

it a bit of an ordeal feeding Tom, especially as he scratches and gropes the whole time he's feeding.

I've got one like that! Unless she's really sleepy she kneads, pulls my skin, sticks her fingers up my nose, tries to cram her foot in her mouth as well, pulls my bra, pulls my hair, pulls my fingers, pulls my lip, pulls my chin, puts her foot on my chest and pushes, kicks, wiggles, talks, trumps, slurps, waves, has a look around, dribbles and shouts. So in answer to your other question yes I do find it exhausting! ;-) I've tried a nursing necklace but she doesn't seem to realise she can eat and fiddle (with anything other than me!). I might try again though but with a squidgy toy so it doesn't hurt when I get whacked in the face!

    Feelie, Toby is so cute!

Bit of an odd night here. Hubby is away on a course and one of the barmaids in the hotel he is staying in is just young, pregnant and having a difficult pregnancy as she's got bad epilepsy so she's being closely monitored. Her and her b/f haven't got much money and are struggling.

I've got very strong broody feelings at the moment but he's not keen on any more. Then yesterday he suggested donating all our baby stuff to the girl in the hotel.

I do feel sorry for the young girl, but I don't want to give my baby stuff away, especially to a random stranger. If we don't have another one, I'd still like to keep it to use when grandchildren come to stay. My Mam did that and it's been so easy having stuff on hand, so I could just turn up without dragging half the house!

Am I weird or would you be upset if your hubby suggested giving away all your baby stuff
Here I go again on my own....
