erin likes to have my top or something over her face when she is tired if she is just wanting a quick feed then she happily grins now and again and holds on to my necklace!
am being slighty lazy this morning neighbour took abi to nursery so not really done much, charlie has just come through with a biscuit? not sure where it has come from lol and erin feeding. am helping my dad today as he has broken his ribs and cant do anthing! oh and OH looking for new job so looks like we may be heading down south? not sure how to feel about it but needs must! What's for you won't go past you0 -
MFD if you think he is not right or very unsettled then try some. esp if he has recently had jags. What's for you won't go past you0

MFD, I can thoroughly recommend an in ear thermometer... They're really quick and a lot more effective than holding a thermometer under their armpit for ages waiting for it to come up to temperature (plus Aimee used to hate that, would scream and fight it)... If he's feeling hot and clammy and not settled in himself then I would be tempted to try half a spoonful... The trouble with sore and painfull legs is they might not neccesarily cause a temperature... But they're not going to be nice....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Becles, I'd feel the same.
Bruno, is Elijah better now?
MFD-calpol- I haven't given LO calpol yet and he's nearly 7 months. Although the nurse said to give him calpol before his jabs. I dont agree with it unless baby has temperature. Sometimes you have to give in and give it but if you google calpol ingrediants it doesn't make pleasant reading. My LO is taking medications with loads of E numbers in it which I'm not happy about but he cant be without it.
I have another fiddler here whilst feeding. It's like feeding a baby monkey!:D0 -
i gave seth calpol cos i felt sorry for him
he wasnt complaining but his legs were red and a bit swollen bless him so i decided prevention was better than cure! it cant do any harm and it was only one dose cos he didnt seem bothered tbh.
i dont think he's far off sleeping through :T he has his last feed around half 9 and then doesnt wake for a feed til 3.30-4am now! he does wake a couple of times but the dummy sends him off. i'm so pleased, i actually feel a bit human for the first time since he was born! its funny when he wakes though, seems like he only wakes for a massive fart and after that off he goes to sleep again :rotfl:never known a baby fart as much as this one!Mummy to

We are keeping a sleep diary to see if I can get a grip on how much sleep Benjamin is getting (and the difference between the good and the bad days) - it makes for interesting reading.) I found it the other day and it was so weird to see upto 8 feeds and 2 or 3 naps and I used to get up at 7am everyday  this baby won't want to do that will he?:rotfl:we had to fill in a 24hr clock at parentcraft on Tuesday of life now and life when baby is here - I have no idea how it will work but I'm sure it will (eventually):o
I give calpol when all else fails or the thermometer beeps at me after taking Chris's temp - you mentioned you might want to get a digital one - if u look back AM posted a very good deal about a week ago from llyods pharmacy on a thermometer0 -
Thanks, Elijah was much perkier yesterday, still a bit fragile and not eating some things he usually likes though, but fever's gone so I guess he's all ok. I worked from home yesterday to help give him extra attention and it was lucky because OH is now really knocked down by a bad cold, she had to sleep and take it easy a lot of the day herself.
Em, Elijah does the same, often wakes in the middle of the night and grumbles til he farts then drops back off again.0 -
MFD - hello  I've only given calpol three times and only 2ml. She's had it after her jags at the nurses advice as she would not calm down and stop screaming! and then last night. It didn't help her go to sleep = but it did calm her a little. she was less screamy after it.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0

MFD - I gave her 2ml of calpol after her 2nd jabs - she was all hot and bothered and one leg was red and swollen. It seemed to bring her temp down and stop the screaming.
Poor little one is covered in scratches this morning. She won't wear scratch mits as she likes to be able to eat her fists - and her nails are trimmed, but still sharp enough to scratch!:beer:0 -
Aimee was like that 3... But her skin was amazing... A giant scratch today would be all but disapeared tomorrow!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
