ooh Mel you've reminded me.. OH keeps insisting this is the last baby because he 'doesn't like me pregnant' I then remind him that I want to either foster or adopt 2 more and he says well thats ok i just don't like you all moody and the bump gets in the way. - Fair enough i supose, I have been a bit of a cow in this preg.
The plan is to 'get' the other kids in a few years when we'll hopefully be in a bigger house but he's spent the last few days drooling over a people carrier brochure, he claims its a really 'cool' caris this the same man that didn't want to trade in his little boy racer corsa for a family car?!

yes!!! We prefer huggies for smell and fit, but right now our little girl is right between size 2 and 3 and nothing in any brand seems a good fit - everything is either too big and too small (thank god we haven't had to buy ALL the different brands in 2 sizes - we've been testing our friends)
we are trying a new bedtime routine - DH thought we should be consistent and use it at lunch time as well - she normally sleeps really well at lunchtime but today she will not go down - hence why I'm making him go in and out and in and out to settle her!
had a good chat with DH about feeling so weepy last week too - I'm off out on thursday for dinner with a friend to ahve some 'me' time in grown up non-baby land. I'm so excited!:or.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Hiya all
Hope everyone is ok, we are good, well I was unwell the last couple of days, was being sick _pale_ but am ok now, think it was what Aston had.
Been to a car boot today, but didnt buy anything as it was a bit rubbish this week.
Just waiting for OH to do dinner, roast beef and the trimmings! I cant wait, I've not eaten properly for days!
On the subject of clothes, Ryan has outgrown his newborn attire already, it's a shame cos i still have a few outfits which he didnt get any wear out of, I dont know wether to ebay them or keep them incase the next one is (hopefully) a boy
To be honest though I have him in babygrows alot more than I thought I would, he's a right little porker and looks more comfortable in them.
We have him in a good little routine(ish) now and for the last few days only wakes up at 3.30am, after his last feed, then wakes between 6am and 7am, which I dont mind as OH gets up at 6am for work anyway and it gives me plenty of time to get him fed, and sort DS1 out before school.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
I only use pamers, ended up selling all the huggies ones to my neighbour as the size 1 nappies dont fit Ryan already, and that was over a week ago! :rotfl:
He's still in size 1 pampers though.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Sami - I hated this pregnancy and it has made me really consider whether I want to go through it all again...The only thing is, as much as I would love to foster (have wanted to for many years) I am not sure how well dh would cope with a child that may have difficulties or has had a problematic upbringing which would require maybe more patience than he has! Therefore, I probably will have to go through being pregnant again.
I am glad people carriers are now considered 'cool':rotfl:
I will only use pampers, and don't really find them smellyI had 2 packs of huggies and ended up chucking the last half a pack in the bin...I hated them, Kai always felt damp. I don't think they were leaking as such, more just soaking through the whole nappy onto the outside...horrible!

Sounds like Ryan is doing great:) It is a shame when they go into the next size clothes isn't it? especially when they have outfits that are barely/not worn. Kai has been in 0-3 sleepsuits since 6wks old and quite a few of his 0-3 clothes are on the short side now. I have a fair few 3-6mths ready though so i'm ready for him:D

All my children give good value out of their clothes - nearly 15 year old DS still wears 12 year old tops (though he has started to shoot up a bit), DD is so skinny that she gets away with wearing clothes for years and Tom (nearly 16 months) is still in 6-9 month old clothes (which were nearly all passed on from my cousin anyway.) What very MSE children I have!0 -

Beatles songs, when they get a bit bigger, Octopus's Garden and Maxwell's Silver Hammer are just perfect for toddlers!
Emlou and MFD, ello is 9 weeks and I put her in a 0-3 outfit for the first time today but only because I am sick of the sight of her newborn stuff not cos she's outgrown it, the 0-3 outfit today was far too big really.
Annabel is 13wks and still doesn't fit some of her 0-3 month outfits!!! She is long and thin so needs 3-6months in vests and babygrows, but in dresses etc she's still in little sizes. Plus the little girl sizes seem to vary sooo much!r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Violet is a day younger than Annabel, 13w 1d, and has only been in 0-3 for about 2 weeks. It'll be another few weeks before the 3-6 size comes out!
She did the most infectious giggle yesterday! She's done one or two little ones, but yesterday she was hysterically laughing at big sister pulling faces! Big sister is so proud that she was the one to make her laugh.:beer:0 -

He's a chunk already, got proper little thunder thighs and a double chin, complete opposite to Aston who was a scrawny little thing with little chick legs :rotfl::j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0
