Hi Stokegirl .. you also missed naked David Tennant .. and probably a few other things too, but that's about where we are at the mo.
I have a question for those of you with older babies - we're going to take Izzy swimming for the first time soon - I guess I need to get her water wings or a rubber ring or something, but I'm a bit clueless really - any tips?Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

I can't work out how breastfeeding works in any normal clothes...I have 4 of these breastfeeding vests which is practically the only thing I have worn since Benjamin was born:

We're averaging one ambulance per year for head injurires for Imogen  I'm hoping we won't have one this year. We've been to A&E once (the first time they were happy that we kept her at home) and never had a follow-up from a HV (although I was expecting it). Saying that, we haven't had her 2yr check either so maybe they just have better things to be doing?
...
No hospital dashes for us! :A I ran across the rd to our doctors once when Chris was about 6mths he was sat up on his changing mat and just flopped backward hitting the back of his head on the wooden edge, looking back if it happened with bump I wouldn't do anything
I know some people panic as I did etc and a few people were shocked that I didn't rush Chris to A&E after he fell down the stairs but I knew he was fine, I watched him for any signs of concussion etc and if he showed any signs I would have had him there in a flash.
Does anyone else worry that taking them to hosp may 'alert' SS or even not taking them could? I get annoyed with myself and 'the system' that sometimes I'm scared in case some one who doesn't know us assumes I'm not looking after my child because I did/didn't take him to hospital :undecided
I had a scared feeling in my stomach calling NHS direct when he'd eaten some of my Tums in case they thought I left medicine lying around all the time :eek:0 -

Ladybird, I just held Aimee in the water when she was tiny, didn't bother with arm bands or anything until she was a lot bigger... about 12/18 months, once she felt confident enough to move away from me... Now we use these http://www.swimshop.co.uk/product.asp?pf_id=DELPHSWIM and she's down to 1 when she's resting but she can swim without them on her lessons...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I would also like to know this too. The baby swim I watched last week (6-24 months) varied between some with armbands and wet suits to just a swimming costume with no armbands.
 I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
