*Sigh* apparently it's up to the school to teach most things, including how to wash hands properly (ie that they need to wash the backs and in between the fingers as well as the palms!), how to eat with a knife and fork, how to put socks and shoes on and how to fasten a zip!0

Everywhere I've looked they only seem to start at a size 4 or 5 and Tom is almost into a 3. We took him for new shoes this afternoon (it was calm and restful, honestly!) and he still couldn't get walkers at Clarks as they only start at a 4 so he got cruisers (it's a step up from the crawlers he had to get last time though, because cruisers only start at a 3! Surely there must be a market for smaller baby shoes?
Forgot to tell you that the bigger Clarks had the exact same cruiser shoes we got Natasha starting at a 2 and also other styles in a 2- not sure of the boys but felt really peeved for you but at least he has some now and the soles are pretty solid on them
We have to go back next week as although her feet had grown 1/2 a size a size 4 was massive - they also had walkers starting at a size 3 but didnt bother buying her a pair the same size, again not sure of the boys.....
Edited to add;
Looking online they have 3 pairs of cruisers for girls starting at a size 2 but none for boys!
and 6 pairs of walkers starting at a size 3 for girls but only 1 pair for boys!
Is this because girls usually walk before boys? isnt that sexist lol:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

I don't think that's it. I imagine it's because boys are generally bigger than girls. The centile charts in baby records are different for boys and girls and even though DD was slightly smaller than Tom when she was his age she was on the 25th centile whereas Tom is only on the 2nd.
Off to check out the Clarks website. I'm hoping he will get to a 4 before we go away or he'll have really sweaty feet in his clumpy shoes!0 -
Of course yes. These are the only walkers they do
http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/EndUses-is-walking/Size-is-3infant/product-is-20325522
but if you give me 2 secs I think I saw some somewhere else - if your ok with the sandles not being Clarks? how about neutral girls if they come in smaller sizes? I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
No sorry, Mothercare had a range of pre walkers with proper soles starting at a size 2 but typically they are all girls, bar one pair of hiking boots for boys.
When do you go away? would his feet not of grown to a 4 by then:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
I think they probably will - I hope, I don't actually know how fast children's feet grow
but DD is still only a 13 now and she's 10, so that only averages as one size a year-ish. Though maybe they grow faster when they're little and slower later on, who knows?
We go in July, but you know what the shops are like - in July they will be full of coats and wellies! I just like to forward plan and know in advance where to look for things.0 -

Fab, thank you so much! (Although OH and my credit card won't thank you at all!) Wonder what those clogs will be like though - crocs are fab (if ugly!) but fake crocs don't usually feel nice at all. I do like those sandals though and I've been looking for those beach shoes for all of us as walking around water parks is like walking on hot coals and none of u are trained in that just yet!
OK, mission number two - a lightweight, relatively inexpensive pushchair that reclines and has somewhere to store all our carp underneath!0 -
Next do jelly shoes but only in a 4 for boys, 3 for girls
Mission accepted - im on my super fast new Dell:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
kiddies in bed so im back on for a bit inbetween ebay lol!
Megan was at nursery and jumped from the soft play onto the concrete floor, she cried for a bit but they didnt think anything of it. my sister picked her up that day and made her walk around town for an hour or two! she was ok but complaining her leg hurt, ice cream soon stopped the moaning. however when bathing her she cried but thinking she had just twisted it we put her in bed with calpol. the next day she still complained so i got her ready and headed for A&E. the x-ray showed that she had broken her leg but the break was up the bone rather than across so there was no swelling etc! i have never felt so awful in my life! she was in plaster toes to hip for 8 weeks! Megan is very accident prone and has been in and out of hospital more than i can remember knocking herself out jumping on the bed, cutting her leg open, bumps and scrapes lol!
Abi has been in twice as her elbow likes to pop out, she was playing with her dad and he had her hand when she pulled away and out it poped, she delighted in telling the doc her daddy done it to her much to our embarrassment. luckily the doc said it was a common thing! all this and i have never had a HV visit! What's for you won't go past you0
