Health visitor coming after children going to A&E - it's not that new. DS hurt his foot at a soft play centre once and the HV came out afterwards - that was 12 years ago. There again, HV didn't come when Tom was taken in last year, so who knows?
MFD - I wear contacts but wear the all-day-al-night sort that only need to be taken out and changed every 30 days. Means you can wear them overnight and they are a godsend. It's almost like being a "normal" person.0 -
No, HV never came when Tasha was dropped either but then again she never came anyway  just wanted to say just incase you got a letter
Ok, I apologise if this picture is MASSIVE. I have chopped my head off but this was taken 6 days before popping - it was the baby who liked the mini eggs not me, honest :rotfl::heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

We're averaging one ambulance per year for head injurires for Imogen  I'm hoping we won't have one this year. We've been to A&E once (the first time they were happy that we kept her at home) and never had a follow-up from a HV (although I was expecting it). Saying that, we haven't had her 2yr check either so maybe they just have better things to be doing?
Imogen wants to call the baby Leah (it's better than Oopsy Daisy like she suggested last week). I said, "What about Max if it's a boy?" and she shouted, "It's not a BOY, it's a GIRL!". OK then!
Welcome to newbies - can't remember who was asking about the slummy mummy club? It's something Choc (I think?!) came up with. We were discussing how most of us are part slummy (e.g. limited hairwashing/brushing/make-up, sloppy clothes) and part yummy (we look fab when we actually get time to make the effort). I aspire to being a yummy mummy, but just never quite reach those dizzy heights!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
I think the slummy mummy club started when we were all discusing scabby next door neighbours (we moved from some!) and people at playgroups then realised that we were exactly the same just sitting here in trackie bottoms with greasy hair :rotfl:
Pretty sure Septemberbaby suggested the name and Curious George designed the sig but im too lazy to go back to check:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
We had a phonecall from HV when I dropped her, but tbh she sounded more like she was checking I was ok and not in shock or anything. (which is fine by me... I was fine, but I don't mind if they have to check these things!)
I was almost a yummy mummy today - i put on perfumeI don't bother when I'm stuck at home all day, but seeing as we were going out I thought I'd make that 1 second extra effort. No makeup here, but I never wear makeup anyway (only if I'm out on the town or going to a wedding or something), so that doesn't count.
I've bought my outfit for the wedding i'm going to at the end of May - got trousers, top and jacket rather than a frock - i can't work out how breastfeeding would work otherwise. And I've given in and bought size 16 trousers. I'm hoping they won't fit me for long, but I'm not dieting while I'm still breastfeeding, as I don't think that is right. although it wouldn't kill me to stop eating SOOOO much chocolate it has to be saidIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009
