Morning all, I wasnt told how long to wait after my C-section but friend of mine was told to wait a year!

I was on the pill before Henry was born and only came off because dr told me I was too old to be on it anymore and then we didnt use anything. Quick withdrawal became a favoured method after that, he he! ;) but after this one I think we will need to work something a bit better out... mind you we dont do it that often (sorry TMI).
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

Someone bought us one of the baby boxes round as a gift at the weekend, it's really lovely, all sectioned off inside... And smells like baby when you open it up!

Although, if this baby has as much hair as Aimee did when she was born, the shampoo will last us a good 2 years!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    maz - congratulations

bailey - soryr to hear your news. Hugs to you x

re: c-sections, I wasn't told to wait for a specific period of time but my friend was told to wait at least a year before TTC'ing again. I'm not planning on doing this again for a while. I love my little bundle, but if we decide to have more I'd like a gap of 3 years or so.

nakedness - i'm not really ever naked and found that bit of giving birth quite hard (stop laughing in the back row please!)

sleeping - LO is now 11 1/2 wks and sleeping 6 hours straight and has finally decided to start sleeping in the evenings for a bit as well. Over the weekend she managed 7 1/2 hours :D however last night she woke up at 1.30am. I was too tired to argue so she came into bed with us and seemed to go back to sleep quite quickly. plus I quite like her little cuddles :D

Our big news this week is that she has started pushing herself up when lying on her front - like a pushup! It's so cute and I've taken lots of photos! She also seems to have discovered her thumb. Up until now she was stuffing her hand in her mouth but as of sunday it was just the thumb.

What came in the box? I remember talc, shampoo & baby oil.... Oh I think I may get one now I know it has sections as it would be great for the caravan :D
 I love my gorgeous little girl

Oz was a bit unsettled last night but not too bad - but was up at 5.30am this morning!

Re - C sections - my friend has had csection under care of NHS and was told to wait at least a year before trying to conceive and was also told she should only have 3 sections. I had a section and was under care of private consultant and she said i didnt have to wait at all and could have as many as i liked!!

And my news - Oz took his first step yesterday!! he might have taken more but i was so excited i screamed and he got startled and fell on his bum.
    DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY ;)

My sister was told to wait a year before trying to concieve again after her 1st, but fell pregnant after a couple of months! (she had c-section).

But i was also told to wait a year awell after normal birth (thats not happening though-so dont need to worry about it).

    keely.

ps-edited to add she's had three babies all by s-section and is advised ideally not to have any more, but as she has recovered really well from them it wouldn't be too risky if she did want another.

Yes but the pain was soooooooooo worth it, look at what I've got out of it :D
Haven't ever been given advice on how long to wait after my sections, it wasnt an issue at all last time, and i think everyone just assumes you dont want to have sex for months after a baby  sod that I lasted till last night and that was too long fo me :o :rotfl:
I think we'll just go down the condoms route if any.
awww bless you, you ARE mad :rotfl:
I'm afraid I'm the no sex for months camp anyway :o I think we've done it once maybe twice since I got pregnant :(

I wasn't up early enough but I saw advertised last night that on LK Today this morning they were doing a segment called "Slummy Vs Yummy" anyone see it? :D
