ooh exciting new house! Poor Alice did she cope ok with it?
I've been a bit of a recluse since Jan as it seamed 'the pox' was everywhere and I didn't want to risk it while pregnant. Shame as it means Chris will probably be affected by it worse once he does catch it:rolleyes:Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Asda's baby week is good at the mo, just stocked up on wipes (johnsons box of 6 for £5) and nappies (huggies and pampers in huge boxes!) aswell as the goodnight milk (£3). Had other things too but that was what I wanted to stock up on!
Good job my hubby took me in the car, i couldn't have carried everything!

I'm not sure if I will do or not
We have been talking and both want more children but are not sure wether to time it properly or just leave things to nature.
I must be mad lol
Thing is I have a 5 year age gap and really dont want another big gap like that!
Yes - you're mad!! :rotfl:
I've had 'the talk' off the HV - but she didn't really seem to know what she was talking about. Kept going on about the pill - which i'd told her i've not been allowed to have for the past five years!
We think we'd like one more - but it'll have to be sooner rather than later because i'm almost a pensioner! (37).
But it won't be too soon - i worked out the other day we've only done it twice this year . Once to hurry baby along (two days before she arrived), and once to check everything was still working. :rotfl::beer:0 -
astonsmummy - i havent went back on any contraceptionand dont think i ever will! i dont like the pill at all or anything else. at the minute we use condoms (mostly!) - this is because as im breastfeeding (still!) although my periods came back at christmas they havent been regular so I cant avoid OH at fertile times! Normally i'm as regular as a clock. We're thinking we'll probably start trying again sometime this yr.
aagh Oz seems to be changing his sleeping routine - yesterday he slept for 3 hrs in the morning and was grouchy in the aft so he slept another hour, then of course he didnt want to go to sleep at 7pm and ended up not sleeping til nearly 9pm!
today he slept for 3 hrs again this morning - i couldnt decide on whether to leave him so i got a break or wake him so he wouldnt be messed about. Anyway i didnt let him nap this afternoon, and now he's in bed crying -probably overtired. I'm hoping he'll go over soon, I dont want a repeat of last night.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

I guess it depends on how you would feel if you discovered you were pregnant right now! If you would be jumping for joy, then go for it. If you'd be panicking about how you would cope, then use contraception.
My HV brought a bag of assorted condoms when she came round to do the heel pr1ck test on Charlotte when she was about a week old. I was very poorly when I was pregnant, and was still suffering from severe swelling in my legs, and I had SPD so had limited mobility. Just getting up off the sofa to answer the door was a stuggle never mind bedroom gymnasticsHere I go again on my own....0 -

I am going to go and buy some, desperately needed, shoes, will have a look in next I think:)
My brother sent the two older boys up a gift card each for toys-r-us so I am going to get them the swing set...and if you buy it then you can buy the slide half price:D although they are 'probably' getting a bit big for the slide, it will be great for Kai...

Mel - just catching up myself but we want to get a swing/slide set for Imogen's half-day in June and were looking at a TP one in ELC for £225:eek: Can you post some links to the ones you're referring to please?MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
SusanC - my doc (who is a bit of a pig of a man despite having been quite okay today) said the main reason for having a 6 week check is to discuss contraception. He also said that the government are pushing doctors to promote the longer term types of contraception like the injection, the implant or the coil to prevent as many unplanned pregnancies...please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120

I got the Johnsons wipes, some new spoons and cups and a paddling pool in Asda today. The nappies were a good price but im not keen on Pampers or Huggies so didnt bother although I think they worked out cheaper than what Im buying from Tesco now so may get some for daytime's at home. I love my gorgeous little girl0
