Thanks all for the tips on sleep and night feeds, baby whisperer recommends giving dummy or water at the middle of the night feed from 7-8weeks, but I think Fergie won't be fooled by that!!!
Sami, you look amazing! all slim everywhere except bump, you'll be one of those 'back in your pre-preg jeans in a fortnight' types, I can predict! LOL re: chris changing his own nappy, how cute
Feelie, so sorry things are hard. Please do be assertive with your GP if possible, the research shows that the period immediately post-partum is a risky time for our mental health, especially for anyone with a previous mental health issue. Pregnancy hormones buffer us from the worst symptoms (altho it doesn't feel like it at the time!) and the dipping of those levels, coupled with tiredness, processing the traumas of labour and dealing with a new baby is a pretty powerful cocktail! They're normally quite keen to see you quickly after and review meds etc... So sad this is being ignored for you.
Like others have said, is there anyone who can pop round? I sent round a text to a few friends last week that said 'I'm a bit blue today, fancy a cuppa?' and even tho only one was free, the others all said nice things:o:rotfl:

Sami - your post about Chris trying to change his own nappy made me laugh. Hang in there FG - has the Midwife been yet? if you call NHS direct, they may be able to get you some help at your mums? We've called them before with a case of food poisoning on holiday, and they were able to book an emergency doctors appoinment on the spot. Not quite the same, but it might be worth a try? Maybe get your mum to call on your behalf if you don't feel up to it?
I have a very windy baby today. She is flailing loads while eating, and keeps falling off :rotfl:. This makes her even more windy, as she keeps taking on air. God knows what I've eaten to get her into this state. Oops!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

thanks js i was hoping there'd be one without screws - one of the pressure ones, but i dont think they go that wide. its not actually for in the house - its to block off our decking so Oz can play on it, and I wanted a cheap and easy option rather than fitting a garden gate, as i dont want it to be a permanent thing.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Could you not just get a big piece of board that can be slid in and out of position and then ditched (or recycled) once it's finished with? Not the prettiest looking thing but it would do the job...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
