I don't think I can fit in the yummy slummy thing - It rocks! well done CG on coming up with a nifty rhyme :T
I'm off to an educational fair 2mo with my mummy - I shall be known as 'Mrs Cook' for the day coz I've got her colleague's pass
OH has to work 2mo morningso I won't see him! He's instructed to get the cozy coupe and kid tough camera on his way home tho - extra bonus is he's forgotten the pin to the join account so will pay out of 'his' money and not my 'housekeeping' budget - I'm so sneaky LOL

ok i just sent a whole load of friend requests on facebook, i like to see everyones faces!
Congrats about the job!
you'll now see the 'real' me....scary eh? that's why i don't put my own photo on here-i'd scare people off! :rotfl:
keely.
ps-I saw my nan last night, it went better then expected. She's got to stay on the oxygen, and they are increasing her steroids from 30 - 60 something...it's a lot by the sounds of it. She may be able to go home sometime in the near future, but they can't say when or anything yet. If she does, she will be contacted by the social services and have meal of wheels etc to help her out and will have oxygen in her home. But it means she'll be housebound, so we'll have to make sure she gets plenty of visiters and things to do (well as much as is posible sitting down with the oxygen mask on). She did look very pale, and tired....but seems ok mentally (not too down in the dumps). I'm going again sunday night to see her again, hopefully with my photos this time! My mom did print a photo of him with his wolves kit on for her though-which made her smile
Anyway i've written enough now! sorry!Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
Congrats nadnad xx
Pleased to hear your Nan is feeling better keelykat and pleased the pictures cheered her up.
I'm sick of "bunny slide". It's a pink glittery hair slide with a pink Easter bunny on it, but Charlotte thinks it's the most wonderful thing ever. She cries when it has to come out at bedtime, then this morning I went in and said morning to her and the first thing she said "bunny slide in now". We have to spend all day every day admiring the bunny slide too. It's funny what they get really attached to.Here I go again on my own....0 -

yeah i had to read that twice too! was thinking gees she must look great if she goes round with nowt on!
on that note i have to admit to running naked from shower yesterday to answer phone (knew it was about the job). and whilst i live in the country you can never be sure who's lurking about - workmen, neighbours, etc and my family never knock the door they either look through the window or walk in - so i was praying nobody was about - luckily it was just the cows and Oz who witnessed my naked dash.
leading on from that must make mental note to have a wax - legs are like jungle.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Hi all.
Thought I'd pop over here as I'm not preggers anymore so dont really ahve much to add to the pregnancy thread!
Hope everyone is ok, I'm good.
Ryan who is 13 days old is a dream baby, now weighs 8lb 9oz and has settled into a great routine.
Aston is very helpful and realy loves his little brother:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Welcome AM, glad you joined us. Hope you're doing well with Ryan.
Becles - our current obsessions include a chirping chick she was bought for Easter and her cousin's Winnie the Pooh. He's causing much confusion as she keeps saying, "I want pooh," and we're never sure if she's just being lazy, missing out the "a" and needs the loo!
On the subject of naked, I walk round naked quite a lot - that's probably slummy, right? Not in the middle of the day, but if I need a drink in the night, or to get Imogen out of bed in a morning. Very few of our windows are overlooked (thanks to a clever 1980s architect) and if people are staring into them then they deserve an eye-full IMHO! I have been as brave as to get a drink from the kitchen at around 6.30am when I couldn't find a dressing gown and narrowly missed embarassing my neighbour who was getting into his car on our shared drive on his way to work. But that's the worst it can get. Is that really bad?
Been to ballet and then a 'lovely' Wacky Warehouse party today. Am just meant to be writing a case study while DH takes Imogen for a walk. I'm 1/2 way through, honest.;) Imogen wasn't so keen on playing at the Wacky as all the kids were a good 3 years older than her and a bit boisterous. DH went up to play with her but got told off! Cue more crying from Imogen:rolleyes:MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

Welcome AM, I felt the same. I did keep reading the pg thread for a while but was finding I could contribute less and less..also being extra busy meant I couldn't really keep up anyway!! Glad Ryan is settling in well and Aston is such a keen helper:)
Congrats nad on the job offer, you must have interviewed really well:)
