Not sure if anyone knits, or has relatives who do, but have just been pointed to this lovely pattern http://thecompletefabrication.blogspot.com/2008/03/seamless-kimono-sweater.html and a site called Ravelry.com which has free patterns. Gonna get my mum on with this one asap!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090

Choc - we've taken Imogen three times now. The last time (in Sept) I bought one of those mini libraries. You know the five tiny board books in a cardboard sleeve? Asda are about to have some in their baby event which starts next week I think. Then i could produce one at a time. THink I also took some simple jigsaws (which wouldn't work now as she needs bigger ones) and some colouring stuff. Once you've done that, got a fave soft toy, eaten and tried to get them to nap, you'll be pretty much there unless it's long haul. We were lucky to get three seats both ways (only paid for 2 but the plane wasn't full :money:) so we snuggled her down and got her to sleep both times. Her fave blanket helped with this. HTH?
Thanks and thanks to others for all the other advice. Yes, it is long haul so need to have lots of ideas to keep him occupied! :eek:0 -
