i think seth has just had a temper tantrum at me!! he was having a feed and he started on a bit of a squinny and spat the bottle out, so i put him up on me to wind him, and he screamed at full lung power and flailed his arms around madly, scratched my chest and arms and headbutted me! isnt he a bit young for temper tantrums?!

Ha! I just remembered something. I was watching Live at the Apollo last night and a comedienne called Shappi (something) was on, she said, she was at the school the other day and overheard two mums talking one was saying how she was a Yummy Mummy, Shappi said, 'isn't that just a posh way of saying !!!!!!':rotfl:

  • i was just going to say YAY! we are all in the club!
but people might get the wrong idea! lol

purple - car booting is loads of fun, (apart from the getting up bit) even if you think you have nothing to sell you will be amazed what you can gather together.. just remember one persons junk is another persons treasure

bacon rolls, hot tea, selling off all the old carp thats been clogging the cupboards and counting up a fad wad of cash at the end of it...
    its a very productive morning!

Just out of interest, has anyone got any experience of taking babies on aeroplanes? (Becles, I think you took Charlotte last year?) Any tips and advice. People keep saying to take a little bag of tricks but beyond snacks I can't think of what else to put in it - apart from a travel aquadraw which he loves!

Choc - we've taken Imogen three times now. The last time (in Sept) I bought one of those mini libraries. You know the five tiny board books in a cardboard sleeve? Asda are about to have some in their baby event which starts next week I think. Then i could produce one at a time. THink I also took some simple jigsaws (which wouldn't work now as she needs bigger ones) and some colouring stuff. Once you've done that, got a fave soft toy, eaten and tried to get them to nap, you'll be pretty much there unless it's long haul. We were lucky to get three seats both ways (only paid for 2 but the plane wasn't full :money:) so we snuggled her down and got her to sleep both times. Her fave blanket helped with this. HTH?

Have about 5 pages to catch up with, so maybe more to post later

where is the best place to sell washable nappies???i have cotton bottoms and also onlife thanks xx

    Hi Caz

I use a site called Makes A Change. They aren't always the very cheapest, but delivery is free so it works out similar. Also, if you aren't sure what you want then the lady who runs it (Emma) is lovely and will spend some time talking through the options with you. That reminds me, we need some more waterproof wraps (baby sized) ready for this new one, so I'd better give her a call.

Don't forget to check if your council do a money-back scheme. We got £50 when we bought Imogen's nappies and I'm planning on trying to claim again!

ETA - Durrr! You want to sell, not buy!! Must engage brain before letting fingers loose on keyboard.

Just about to amend my sig too. That's a club I WANT to be in!!

    Still catching up...
