  • Well done to whoever is crawling - it was a few pages back and I've forgotten already. The big news here is that Izzy slept for 8 hours straight. Then for another hour and a half, so we were up at 6:30, which is fine. Lets hope this is a new habit, not a one off!

Elliot's still doing well with his new bed time and routine, i'm really pleased with him.

He did me proud at mom and baby group yesterday-he sat up and played with the toys all by himself... considering that he's only been sitting by himself for a week he has done really well. He was so tired afterwards though! He also helped to make me a bunny lol!

I'm not going to get him weighed for a few weeks now, as the HV told me to give him lumpy foods etc and because of him being ill last week we're back to sqaure one with purees (im just glad hes eating again) so i need to try him on the lumpier stuff now. I'm sure she doesn't like me, she gives me right funny looks and there's always something i'm doing wrong. So basicaly i don't want to see her!

    keely.

ps i just remembered you were all talking about scummy/yummy moms....i'm kinda in between i think. I'm usually dressed and washed in the morning, but i don't do make up or anything that takes long to do! I'm just clean and dressed, as I hate staying in my pj's in the day i just feel rubbish if i do!

Oh and baths don't relax Elliot either, he finds them too much fun and gets all excited!

That's me! I like to be showered and dressed as it feels weird wandering round in pjs but I don't really ever do make-up (I'm always allergic and spend the next week with a flaky face), my hair needs a cut so I just tie it up and the clothes I wear in the house don't ever see outside! We used to laugh at my Grandma years ago as she used to wear the shabbiest dresses inside the house with rips under the arms and the hems hanging down and whenever she went out she would change into blouse, skirt and cardigan. I think my shabby jogging bottoms are the modern day version of her ripped dresses!

goodness its turning into the pregnancy thread over here - in terms of HOW MUCH WE ALL TALK!! lol.

re nappied - only pampers for me i'm afraid. everyone told me tesco ones were great so i bought a pack and hated them, ended up changing Oz more than usual just to get rid of them! they felt all hard, are much wider than pampers and the tabs kept pulling off. speaking of nappies i have none left - am hoping there enough in nappy bag to keep me going!

Had my interview yesterday, it went fine, and I'll find out today if i've got it. dont actually know if i want it yet though!!

Bailey - are you out there?!! we need to know!

I'm a slummy mummy crossed with a yummy mummy i suppose - same as keely and choc, i usually get dressed quite early, and i'll alway fix my hair moisturise and put a teeny bit of make up on. However my clothes usually consist of jogging bottoms or boarders and a tshirt. Why dress up for baby snot? and when i go for a walk round here its mostly cows looking at me!

Im getting my hair cut today, it was last June when I last visited so I think it needs doing!

I struggle getting showered during the day unless somebody is here, our shower is in the en-suite which is quite small to squish either the activity station or walker into unless I leave the door open but then the neighbours can see me so it just depends how much I need a shower to whether I flash my bits or not :D

MFD, seth weighs 9lb 12oz now and is following the average line in his little red book perfectly, he is completely average! and i thought he was a fatty

i premake my bottles too, every night before bed i do enough for the night feeds and a couple of morning ones in case i'm lazy and decide to not get up and then in the afternoon i make them when he goes to sleep so its just right for when he wakes up. i'm also a shockingly terrible mother that when i take him out i make one up to take with me!! our parents all did this and we are all still alive... thats my logic!

i'm glad the nappies talk came up, i was going to ask you all about own brands today! we've been using huggies and found them to be fine, wees only leak if OH changes him cos unless i remind him he forgets to point his bits down and poops only leak if they're a bit huge and even then they dont seem to get on his clothes much, just on the edges of the legs a bit, but if i can spend less on tesco ones then i will! wipes wise, i use huggies for poops cos i feel a thicker wipe is essential for poop and own brand cheapies for wees.

hmm... someone just knocked on my door but i ignored it cos i'm stillnot dressed lol, slummy mummy anyone??

Really? I would have guessed you had yours done fairly often - it always looks good. I can't remember when I last had mine cut but I know I've only cut it once since Tom was born. Getting desperate for it done now but too embarrassed for my hairdresser to see what state it's in!

I'm defo a slummy mummy today as I don't work Fridays - dragged myself out of bed at 8am, just about managed to get the kids dressed and breakfasted - did the school run in my most horrible baggy saggy tracky bums and no bra, just a zippy cardy pulled on over my pj top!! :rotfl:

    :eek::eek::eek:

I'm off to have a shower in a minute and put proper clothes on honest :o
