Now she's on pull ups, I don't like the tesco ones so much, although pampers and huggies are rubbish too. They just slip down and give her builders bum all the time and she isn't in the slightest bit skinny:rotfl:
We're on pull-upy type nappies during the day too and I'm not sure which ones are the best either. There's a huge difference in size/cut anyway - I quite like the Huggies LIttle Walkers as they seem generously cut (as Alex is certainly not skinny either :rotfl:). The Pampers Easy-ups give him a wedgie , perhaps I should go up a size. :o

It's funny because in normal nappiesI used to think Huggies were always smaller and tighter than Pampers.

But I'm a complete tart when it comes to nappies - I just buy whatever's on offer and whatever I have vouchers for. :money:

We have always bathed them in the night as part of their routine but mostly because its DH's job when he gets in! ;):D.

    xx

Same here! Though had to bath him early tonight as he was feeding himself his tea and not all of the curry and rice stayed on the spoon! He was very pleased with himself though!

As for Nappies, I buy whatever is on offer but at the moment I'm using up loads that I got after the Asda baby event ( Huggies). They came in a Winnine the pooh cardboard box and had three packs of nappies and a travel pack of wipes and I got them for £8 a box instead of £15. Even better each box had £8.10 of vouchers inside which I used at Teso (not necessarily on the right products, ssh!) so really I was paid 10p to take each box away. How MSE is that??

I also like Huggies wipes the best. The others feel a bit cheap and thin usually and I especially hate the Boots ones as they felt dry and scratchy. I prefer the scented Huggies wipes but always seem to buy the Pure unscented ones as they're always only £1 a pack.

God, I'm boring...fancy being able to talk at length about nappies and wipes!!

Just out of interest, has anyone got any experience of taking babies on aeroplanes? (Becles, I think you took Charlotte last year?) Any tips and advice. People keep saying to take a little bag of tricks but beyond snacks I can't think of what else to put in it - apart from a travel aquadraw which he loves!

Purplepatch and Dormouse, I remember with Millie i had to go down a size when she moved on to pull ups to get them to fit properly, might be worth a try? (although adimittedly expensive if it doesn't work out).

Chocaholic110, we had all sorts of things to keep miile entertained the first time we flew with her but she just sucked on her dummy and then slept the whole flight (she was 11 months) The third time she flew was 11 hours to sri lanka and it didn't seem to bother her at all (she was nearly 3) sorry, not sure what age your baby is? but once they are at the nosy pulling faces at strangers stage then a plane is the best fun as they have a captive audience.

I took Aimee on a plane at 19m... Took a bag with colouring books and stickers and her favourite smallest toys... And her little touch leapad which she was really into at the time... It was a 3hr flight and she behaved really well... I also fed her on take off to stop her ears popping but a lollipop would of done too.
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I have taken both my boys on a plane loads of times, from 2 months onwards (the privilege of having family abroad!)

For toddlers, I'd say take lots of stuff to occupy them, as they do get very restless in a confined space. Snacks - lots of them, especially ones that take a long time to eat - raisins, cereal bars, grapes - anything in a small tub that can be re-closed is good. Toy-wise: pens/drawing stuff (aquadraw would be brilliant!), little books, a soft toy is also good for cuddles and distraction. We have a portable DVD player too.

Forget your old life where flying was fun and you could relax with a glass of wine and a magazine - that ain't happening. :o You'll be lucky if you get a quick glimple of the inflight magazine!

ETA: you know those books with reusable stickers - good! (Am starting to sound like Joey from Friends: "What's not to like? Custard - good! Cream - good! Jam - good! Mince - gooooooood! :D)

Lol, I snort laughed when I read that and OH is now looking at me like I am either crazy or to be pitied (or possibly both!)

I was tempted to prebook our seats so that OH had to sit with the children and I got to sit alone, and pretend to him that I had nothing to do with it (He doesn't "do" internet so wouldn't even know that was possible) but I decided that was just too cruel. The first time we ever took DD on a plane she was sat with OH and decided she needed the toilet just as we were taking off and the seatbelt signs were still on. She just about screamed the plane down and I pretended I didn't know them ;)

Tom will be 18 months when we travel. I envision lots of wandering up and down the plane! He doesn't sleep in the car so I can't hope that he'll sleep much on the plane. We do have a portable DVD player but he shows no interest at all in TV (and terrible mother that I am I do keep trying to get him to take notice of the TV - hoping for 5 minutes peace!).
