If you're not to fussed about brands of nappies I can highly recommend Tesco's own brand. I think there £1.66 for size 1 and I've found them to be better for Ethan than most others. In my experiance I have tried Asda's homebrand - they leak for me, Wilko's own brand - they leak, Pamper's Newborn - brilliant but so expensive, Huggies Newborn - the worst I have used, they leak, move away from the legs so if you have a baby that fills their nappy it comes out at the side (sorry to be so crude) and they just feel funny. Now we're testing out Pamper's Superdry but I'm not overly impressed with them. Hope this helps

Tesco nappies are fab, they seem to soak up loads of wee and dont have that funny smell that a pampers nappy has. Huggies nappies are the worst I have tried to be honest and I dont much like their baby wipes either - they seem so hard, feel funny and stink. My favorite wipes are the Johnsons ordinary ones as they smell all babyish but I usually buy the purple Boots ones on offers. I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
We have had huggies newborn since birth so far...other than a few pampers that the bounty lady gave me in the hospital. I didn't like the pampers but get on well with the huggies :rotfl:they have only leaked when he has done a super-explosive poo.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120

i agree with huggies wipes and only noticed nappies leaking as i think she was getting too big for them, but at £1 a pack who was to complain! i also like sainsburys own nappies, have never tried tescos as we dont have one near?
well done celia!!!What's for you won't go past you0 -

Ethan's 12 weeks old and has been in his own room since 10 and a half weeks - I even had grief from close friends for that but he's a happier baby for it. His eyes close as soon as his head hits his moses basket (not hits literally - I'm not that bad) and he now sleeps from 9.30 - 6.30am and now because he gets a good night's sleep he's more alert in the day. I think the best way to listen to everyone - smile and say thanks then ignore it all, lol0 -

Although his body, arms and legs have barely any pickings on them, his face is starting to get chubby cheeks!! I will stop worrying now, the HV is due out to me soon to do the PND quiz thing! Dh thinks I do have PND, and to be honest it does keep crossing my mind too(not that I will admit that to him), although I am hoping it is just baby blues (but doesn't that only last a few weeks?)
Mel, I meant to reply to this last night!
Hope everything is ok and promise us you will get help if you need it.

we had problems with tesco's nappies, so did a friend of my husband....they kept breaking (tabs come off for example) so i ditched the rest of mine and swapped to asda or sainsbury's. I'm another bargain hunter, im always using coupons/vouchers etc. I love sainsburys when they have 1/3 off baby things-i stock up on nappies etc then! I also get my baby wipes in bulk (in those boxes) when on offer too-i only go for brand name for wipes nothing else really (love johnsons wipes).

Have tried all the nappies over the years and ended up settling on tescos ones in the purple pack. They were by a mile the best we found.
Also their wipes are good and often on offer, so makes them so much much cheaper too.
Now she's on pull ups, I don't like the tesco ones so much, although pampers and huggies are rubbish too. They just slip down and give her builders bum all the time and she isn't in the slightest bit skinny:rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone!!
Having just found this thread - I'm now doing a happy dance :j:j
I have been an MSE'r for ages but didn't think there would be a parenting threat... I had joined another website called babyandbump.com but my god they're judgemental on there... I didn't dare say they I was bottlefeeding my 12 week old son, or that sometimes we don't get dressed until 2pm in the afternoon...
Welcome and congrats...I'm sure you will be comfortable here!

Well done Celia! I think most of them go backwards first... I can't believe she's crawling and I'm still pregnant! Seems like a couple of weeks ago she was born!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Im at home all day and find it much easier to bath her on a morning, ITS UP TO ME, ARGHHHHH :rotfl:
We have always bathed them in the night as part of their routine but mostly because its DH's job when he gets in!:D.
