we had problems with tesco's nappies, so did a friend of my husband....they kept breaking (tabs come off for example) so i ditched the rest of mine and swapped to asda or sainsbury's. I'm another bargain hunter, im always using coupons/vouchers etc. I love sainsburys when they have 1/3 off baby things-i stock up on nappies etc then! I also get my baby wipes in bulk (in those boxes) when on offer too-i only go for brand name for wipes nothing else really (love johnsons wipes).

    keely.

I buy wipes in bulk too, Netto had Huggies 4 pack for £2.49 not so long ago and although they're not that good they do the job.

My favourite wipes have to be Simple - Wilko's have them on offer for £1 a packet and they have 100 wipes in each packet whereas most others only have 64 and they come with a plastic lid so they don't dry up.

1st things first Erin has been giggling today! when u tickle under her chin or sing silly songs and clap her hands pmsl:D

i had my apptoday and i am all booked in for the 18th june! am still worried but went through everything and it doesnt sound too bad. they go internally so no cuts/gas etc etc they slighty burn the inside of each of your tubes and inplant a tiny inplant which is the size of a gain of rice, the scare tissue builds around the implant and therefore blocks the tubes. all the patients that have had this trial done to them have had no pain and back to normal asap! doc wants to do under GA until he has carried out a few before doing it under a local. i will be first to have it done(my request) and he said there shouldnt be a prob with BF after due to being under GA for such a short time and also no drugs will be needed for pain relief. the only big difference between this way and th other is that this way is not reversable, so once its done thats it! around 3 months after the op you have to attend for an x-ray or scan to make sure the implants are in place and blocking the tubes so will also require to have the depo to cover 100% the sucess rate is 98.9% but he said this is due to people not being careful during the 3 months before the xray.

oh and remember the boots glitch well i went overboard with the 1st size nappies to took them to asda(Thanks SB!) and they gave me the money when all i asked for was a swap. walking round they had great deals so managed to get double the amount in a bigger size and have money left over PMSL:P

Yay, Erin has the giggle bug! Don't you just love it? I howl with laughter when Jamie gets the giggles and laugh along until my jaw hurts! :D

Good news on your op :T. Best be EXTRA careful before the date though! ;).

Asda are wonderful :j. Glad you got a good deal on the new nappies .

If you're not to fussed about brands of nappies I can highly recommend Tesco's own brand. I think there £1.66 for size 1 and I've found them to be better for Ethan than most others. In my experiance I have tried Asda's homebrand - they leak for me, Wilko's own brand - they leak, Pamper's Newborn - brilliant but so expensive, Huggies Newborn - the worst I have used, they leak, move away from the legs so if you have a baby that fills their nappy it comes out at the side (sorry to be so crude) and they just feel funny. Now we're testing out Pamper's Superdry but I'm not overly impressed with them. Hope this helps

Quite a few of us from the Preg Thread stocked up on Huggies Size 1 due to a Boots.com glitch and we ended up with ten packs for the princely sum of £10! :T.

I'm a Huggies girl myself and have only deviated to Pampers when someone has bought them for me .

Celia crawled! Admittedly it really wasn't very far and it was backwards but she crawled! I loook forward to her doing it again, probably in three months time! Although... I'll probably have to tidy now!

And I only really use Huggies wipes, too! :rotfl:

Much thicker than any other brand imo. With Johnsons or Pampers I end up using twice as many!

Bargain - for a £1 a pack - in true MSE style even I'd convert for that :T:T

You bath your daughter in the morning - Shocking!!! :D:D

I dump Ethan in the bath with his dad for half an hour every evening. Not so much for him to realise it's bedtime but for me to run around for half an hour cleaning up and... now I know this might earn me title as World's Worse Mother but.. pre making bottles for the next day :rotfl:

I do this too, so you will have to share that title:rotfl:
Although dh never gets a bath, he only showers so no luck in getting a bit of peace. I usually do all ,y jobs once all three kids are in bed:rolleyes:

Congrats on the crawling and the giggling babies:D

Nappies - I tried Tesco's but always ended up with a soaking wet vest up the back:confused: Huggies always seemed to feel damp on the outside if worn for more than an hour!!! Pampers are Brilliant, they fit better around the waist and absorb without soaking through to the outside of the nappy.

Mel, I meant to reply to this last night!

Hope everything is ok and promise us you will get help if you need it.

    xx

Not sure how to reply really as I can't honestly say all is great, but I promise to get help if/when needed.
