Thanks, I feel better now, I was beginning to think he was too heavy. Although his body, arms and legs have barely any pickings on them, his face is starting to get chubby cheeks!!
I will stop worrying now, the HV is due out to me soon to do the PND quiz thing! Dh thinks I do have PND, and to be honest it does keep crossing my mind too(not that I will admit that to him), although I am hoping it is just baby blues (but doesn't that only last a few weeks?)

    Right, some quick replies;

Feelie - I think you are doing fantastic to keep expressing, and I don't think it is a case of trying harder, more a case of persevering you are doing everything right just keep at it...I that is what you want to do:)

nad - Good luck with your interview tomorrow.

Caz - I hope it goes well at the appt, I would be interested hearing about the new procedure.

MFD - Glad you had a nice evening out, typical Benjamin being asleep the whole time and your milk going down the sink.

emlou - Kai is also bashing his playgym, I doubt it is on purpose but he does seem pleasd with himself when it plays a tune!

rmac Have a good weekend at the wedding. I hope it all goes well:)

Right off to sort big kids out into pyjamas and Kai is getting grumpy for a feed too.

    Mel x

Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Which swimdress did you buy Choc, I ordered this one http://www.marisota.co.uk/productcache/FSP/BO8300/HK579AW.html.gz but it hasnt come yet

Please tell me its really really fab and sucky in :D

Snap! I am definitely not coming swimming with you. It's lovely, it's a little bit sucky in, has padded bra cups and elastic support and is a nice length that it covers the horrible top of my thighs.

Its ok Millies Mum = I'll take over as token pensioner!!

    I'm 37 and have Joe 11 (12 next month), Liv 8 1/2 and Violet 10 weeks.

A couple of girls from my school year are already grandmas!!

    But I only feel about 25 :D

Glad you posted as i was starting to feel old! I'm 35 in July (so I just beat you Millies Mum). I think I've already mentioned that I met someone I went to school with at a toddler group and she was with her grandchild. OH is almost 42 so I feel young in comparison to him though!
  • We have been to Jo Jingles today and Poppy certainly loves to dance! She never usually gives me a second glance as she is nose to nose with the 'teacher' but she ran and bear hugged me when they started singing Twinkle Twinkle as she thought it was bedtime! :rotfl:

When I picked Jamie up after class I noticed dried blood in his ear lobe!. The Baby Club ran by the HV is also on at the same time so I had a word with her and we cleaned it but no cut could be found. She also thought he was a bit hot and advised me to get him checked out.

Typically, our Dr's was closed this afternoon so I had to go to the drop in centre. But luckily he is just dandy :D. Temp is fine and no sign of any infection. They could only hazzard a guess that he has scratched it which is entirely possible as he constantly has his hands to his face and his fists in his mouth!. I'm forever cutting his nails and have even filed them :rotfl:but he still managed to scratch!. Is he too old for mittens?

from what i know this is the way everyone is changing to for steralising, this surgeon is the first in the country to carry out this way and they need 5 people to come forward to carry it out on. AFAIK they put a block in the tubes and after 7 days you go back in for a scan to check the tubes are blocked. you also have to get the depo to cover you are they cannot guarantee everything until you have had the scan and the all clear. they are saying that this procedure will be so easy as very little pain that by next year it will be done under LO and you could be in and out in a luchbreak! i will obviously know more tom and will let you know the details i have missed lol! my mum works in gynae theatre and when i went in to show erin off the surgeon was talking about this new way so i told him i would be interested and within 2 weeks i have app to discuss it! xx
What's for you won't go past you

ooh what is Liv short for - if anything? I think it sounds lovely! Not that it really matter coz I've got another smelly boy in here :p

She an Olivia really - but when she started school there were 6 Olivias in the two reception classes , so she's been Liv since then! Also Ex had a bit of a thing for Liv Tyler!

  • SB - john lewis mittens are massive - they would prob fit Poppy never mind Jamie :D

Mel - Kai is tall but sounds like he is in proportion...Benjamin is 58cm and 11lb 6oz. There is a chart in your red book - Benjamin is on the 75th centile for both pretty much. I got him measured at clinic today because I was curious - the HV has a 'measuring mat' which is a long plastic mat with metal uprights on both ends...lie baby on the mat with head to top upright and then stretch him out and use the bottom upright to measure how long he is.
I asked for Benjamin to be measured at birth too - they don't do it here anymore because it is too inaccurate apparently - he was 52cm when born.

CG - fab idea about the sleepsuits! Will def use it when Benjamin goes up a size.

McSmiler - have fun at the wedding - I will come and cuddle your gorgeous little girl for you if you want me to!

    And finally - I am 32, 1st baby, Hubby is 43 in June and I have 3 stepsons, 21, 20 and 9.

I win - my toy boy will be 29 next month, 8 1/2 years younger than me! We've been together since he was a young pup of 23.

You're only as old as the man you feel - so they say! ;)
