MFD - Good idea ;) I also didn't realise until recently that you have 2 'grown up' DSS's too - looks like ur OH has strong 'boys' down there :rotfl:

yup - hubby now has 4 boys...if I could guarantee him a girl I don't think that there would be any doubt that we will have another child. As it stands I think we just need to wait and see, hubby is 43 in June so we are kind of getting to the stage where any more kids would still be 'children' when he retires which is a bit scary really. I am sure if you told him 21 years ago when his first was a baby that he would have another now he would never have believed it. Funny how life turns out :D

Mind you, I was 11 when first DSS was born :rotfl:

Well IF we try for anymore I'm gonna use that books about 'choosing' the sex of ur baby, Tara on the preg thread used it successfully with her latest, I wouldn't mind another boy but would be nice to have a girl too.
I think considering how easily we conceived these two it wouldn't be much of a struggle to follow something like that even if it took us longer to conceive it wouldn't be a big deal - assuming it happened easily again:o

Can't assume anything though. My DS and DD were conceived instantly, I think DD was conceived before I finished saying "Shall we try to have another baby...?". OH was most disappointed in being cheated out of the trying part. But then we started trying for Tom in Jan 2006 and it took two years before he was actually born.

Bay - I'm knackered just reading what you got up to! Any news on the preg test front? You sound so happy, it's nice ;-)

Sami - I read a book about conception before we had Imogen. I got pregnant within 10 days of having the implant out and remember thinking, "Ooh, that's me ovulating. If I'm pregnant it'll be a girl then." And it was! I think it was because we'd last done the deed a couple of days before and girl swimmers are slower, but last longer. Boy swimmers get there quicker, but don't have the staying power (sounds familiar!)

I don't have any idea this time. I'm not sure when I ovulated or when I conceived and was shocked when the scan pulled my date forward by 6 days. I'm thinking it's a boy, but that could just be because I'd really like a girl and need to get used to the idea of a blue baby!

On names, we've come across Dulcie for a girl. I kind of like it. It's quirky but a 'real' name IYSWIM? For a boy I like Max, but this is the name of my friends' horse who Imogen adores. Do you think this is a problem?

We bought Tom a little backpack with reins attached yesterday as I'm sure when we go on holiday he won't go in his pushchair much and we don't want to lose him in the crowds! We tried it on him yesterday and then when he got dressed today he insisted on wearing it again, though we've removed the reins part. He's still got it on now and he's packed an old action figure belonging to DD, two stacking cups and a plastic coin from his piggybank - all of life's essentials! He looks really cute wandering around in it!

Lu_T - I liked Max but it's our rabbit's name! I don't think it should be a problem with your friend's horse though! I'm not so keen on Dulcie, but that's cos I work with one and sometimes the person can put you off the name...no more said!!

My Mum bought Aimee a monkey back from America about 4 years ago, before they became popular... It was fantastic, she'd never wear reins but was always happy to wear her 'walking monkey' I put it away for this baby too... It also had a little pocket on the back, I used to put spare pants in when she went to playgroup...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Well I was hoping for a girl this time and as we'd done the deed twice before ov and once after so I thought the odds were in my favour but no! :p I think the fact I REALLY enjoyed the just after ov deed that helped them along even more :o

I'm glad I know my dates this time because with Chris he is officially down as being 3 days early but I'm 95% sure he was 15 days late! :rotfl:the paediatrician that check him over for discharge from the Maternity ward agreed with me tho:cool:

I'd say the horsey name is only a problem if you think it is :D
The 3 girls names I had picked out were all pretty popular one top 10 which would normally put me right off but I just loved them!
