She closes her eyes, and I try to keep her out of direct sunlight as much as possible but sometomes you can't avoid it (stuck in a trafic jam or whatever). I get headaches if I squint in the sun for too long, so I feel mean having my sunglasses on while she is struggling. Whether she agrees with me and wan't to wear them is another question alltogether

In the buggy I would put a cotton sheet over the hood in very bright weather. I just can't imagine how I'd have kept sunglasses on any of my lot! None of them wear them now, although DS2 is thinking of getting transitions lenses when he next needs new glasses. He's the only one of the boys who wears glasses.
I did try to keep hats on them. If the hat came off, I'd want them back inside. My preference was always for legionnaire's style, ie baseball cap with a bit of cloth down the back. Quite hard to get, I found!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
We have a sunscreen on the window, but it doesn't stop the sun coming through the back windscreen... My parents car has built in sun blinds. Not that they noticed till DH pointed it out to us all!

Savvy that style seems quite popular now, i got jack one in peacocks last year and sure i saw them in woolies too. Both mine have caps like that, Jack is easy, he learnt to keep his on last year, Molly is in the I put it on walk 2 steps, she pulls it off, back on 1 step, comes off, slow and tedious but i will win. Don't know why as she tolerated her winter hats fine, maybe she doesn't like the shield?0

Oh and I did tell DH about our potential problem last night, he took it onboard and is concerned but now all we can do is wait and see. I've bought 10 sticks off ebay for 3 quid, so will be POAS all next week I reckon.
I still think I am and its a boy!! (i'll look pretty stupid if i'm wrong on both counts wont I?)0 -

We have those sunglasses for Ruby but she wont keep them on for even a second - also she wont keep hats on at all?? we are goin to Tenerife on Tuesday and have all her lovely sun hats and swim caps packed ready but dont imagine they will get much use will just have to keep her in the shade!
Bailey you sound a bit brighter in your post - bet you feel better sharing the worry with OH x19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0 -
DD has sunglasses (Babybanz) as she struggles in bright light as do I (I have to have the visor down in the car if the clouds are bright!) she's really beginning to get used to them.
The other advantage is that when she's tired and can't sleep as it too bright out, put her glasses on and 5 minutes later she's in the land of nod!
She is in the middle of learning how to take them on and off for herself, usually end up upside down or back to front.
We also make a game out of it, I say boo if she peeks over the top of them.
MDWProud to be dealing with my debts
