Keelykat - if you are worried about dehydration etc., then ring either the out of hours doctor or NHS direct. They'd much rather see a Mam and baby, and turn them away with reassurance that it's nothing serious than have you sitting worrying yourself sick at home.

Neutrodol powder is good for carpets. If the normal sprinkle on and hoover off action doesn't work, you can put it down overnight and hoover it up in the morning and that should get rid of the smell.

waggy1 - pleased your daughter is ok and it's nothing serious. I would be writing a strongly worded letter into the store with pictures of her foot, and seeing what they say.

I'm knackered now! Finished stripping the wallpaper in the sitting room and have washed down and undercoated all the woodwork, varnished the window recesses and sills in both rooms, and put a coat of emulsion on the sitting room ceiling.
Here I go again on my own....

waggy - if you want to pursue this i would either write a "without prejudice" letter to morrisons, or go to see another solicitor. There does not need to be a break to file a claim (i work in insurance personal injury claims -or i did til i had baby!). The solicitor you went to may not have been interested because it isnt a "big time" claim - maybe try a local small practice - you may have more luck. If you decide to write the letter make sure to mark it "without prejudice" just so they can't use it against you at any time - its just a precaution. Also it would help if you had photos of the bruising etc.
    DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY ;)

hi thanks nadnad, i really apreciate your reply. i shall go through my family solicitors if you feel it will be of use?
    many thanks xx
  • Nadnad, i know it sounds like i am jumping the gun and maybe i probably am but its hard not to when my body feels different to normal, i've had a constant period type pain since sunday and its midcycle. I will try to be patient though and not comment until i know more.

I will try to bear in mind that the morning after pill may have some bearing on this, as i've never taken it before and so don't know how it would feel.

Have a good easter one and all.

Agutka- we had similar experiences with DS1, he'd wake up in the night screaming his head off, crying, in a bad mood/temper, he didn't really seem 'awake' and nothing that we did would calm him down. Eventually we took him to our gp who said it sounded very much like night terrors. I know exactly what your going through, thankfully he outgrew them, hoping DS2 doesn't suffer with them.
If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.
    ROCK IT DON'T STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BE GOOD OR BE GOOD AT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • keeley - when ever mine have been really sick i find the best thing to do 9and this is what NHS direct will tell you - cos thats where i got it from about 8 years ago! lol)
one SIP of water every 5 minutes, absolutely no more than a sip, keep this up and you know that baby isnt going to get dehydrated but also it allows you to gauge if they can keep anything down,
even if your baby is sick again, keep at it, one sip every 5 minutes, til you feel they can handle more / something else

like i said, i got this info off NHS direct when my DD was a baby (shes nearly 9 now) and its seen me through years of upset tummys

bailey - I was in the bath reading a glossy mag, and I read about this and thought of you and your problems with pills!
    http://www.nuvaring.com/Consumer/index.asp

It's basically a plastic ring that sits inside your vagina and dispenses the same hormones as the contraceptive pill. You pop it in and forget about it for three weeks. Then you take it out and have a period week, then start again with a fresh ring. Your GP should be able to prescribe it if it's suitable for you.

I thought I'd post it on here instead of sending it by PM in case anyone else is interested.

And on the plus side, it increases the blood flow down there which may result in better O's - yay :j

bailey - the following page may be of use to you its got all the info on side effects of the MA pill etc http://www.fpa.org.uk/Information/Readourinformationbooklets/emergency
    in particular.
    What are the side-effects?

There are no serious short- or long-term effects from using the emergency pill.
    • Some women may feel sick, dizzy or tired, or may get headaches, breast tenderness or abdominal pain.
    • A very small number of women will vomit.
    • It can disrupt your periods.

How will the emergency pill affect my next period?

Your period is likely to either come on time or be a few days early or late. For some women it can be up to a week late or sometimes even later.
You may have some irregular bleeding between taking the emergency pill and your next period. This can range from spotting to being quite heavy.
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

  • I took the MA pill once years and years ago (ive always been so careful, but this was a bloody split condom! and the last time i used those disgusting things!)
and all i remember was feeling r-e-a-l-l-y sick, and just not right for a while afterwards

I really hope you get the result you want Bay, whatever that might be
i bet your swinging from one answer to another,
even when i have been trying for a baby seeing that positive result still puts the fear of god into me... so i cant imagine what your going through
