Oz drank a whole carton of that ready made formula this morning!! he's taken one or two sips at a time before but thats a first. So the early morning feed from me will be stopping now! Then just the 9am one (before nap), bedtime one, and the odd middle of night one.

Just shows you babies do everything in their own good time, - we've been trying him on formula every so often since he was about 3 months! Course next month he'll be 1 and wont need formula but there you go!

Don't know if i mentioned this here before but the GP suggested Oz had a milk intolerance as he had a bit of a wheeze. So we stopped all dairy for a while and the wheeze disappeared. Then i began giving him yoghurts and he was fine with those, and cheese and thats fine. He has goats milk on his breakfast and thats fine, so i'm hoping he'll be ok to go back on cows milk soon - i'll try him in the next month or so.

Yesterday I bought Izzy some sunglasses (these in purple... I've not managed to find any purple clothes for her, but at least she can have purple sunglasses!) and today it is raining. Mind you, seeing as they won't turn up for a day or so maybe it is a good thing we don't need them ;).

Oh, and baby massage seems to be having a positive effect on us all getting a good nights sleep - we're back to waking up once in the night again :) When she was going to bed the same time as us we had managed only once, but as we've been putting her down earlier it was too long and we were back to twice (at least!). We're going to a 4 week baby massage class on tuesdays and we had a practise yesterday of what we learnt so far and both nights he has slept really well :) Now I just have to put myself to bed a bit earlier and all will be fabulous ;)

We bought the baby banz for Rhys and have never been able to get him to tolerate them for very long, even in really bright sunshine. I keep trying them, but no luck so far. Boots have a similar version for £8 which are quite funky, but no luck with though either.

grrrrr i've been looking out for baby swimming lessons/class for ages and one is advertised in the local paper - but the class times are 5pm - 5.30pm and 5.30-6pm.

Does anyone else think thats a really silly time for baby swimming lessons (from 6 months up), Oz has his tea at 5pm or thereabouts and is getting bathed and ready for bed from 6pm on. Now i know he goes to bed early, but surely 5pm is a bad time for most people?

Good luck with the glasses ladybird :D
We got Chris some Uvex sunglasses and a strap that fits on them, we got them while we were in Austria Skiing over a year ago.
Chris has only been happy to wear them when in the car with the sun in his eyes and thats only in the last few months  not sure what we'll do now because he snapped them the other day  they were about £25  we wanted to make sure they were good specs protecting his lil eyes  and he always pulls the window shade thing off in the car, he does like wearing baseball caps tho.

    That is frankly ridiculous!!
the baby swim at our local pool is somewhere around 10 - 11am and 1.30 - 2.30pm
Who wants to take their baby swimming at one of the busiest times and just before bed:confused:

nadnad, formula is based on cows milk so if Oz was going to have a reaction he probably would of by now...

Aimee would never keep hats or glasses on until the day she made the connection between sun in her eyes and cap keeping the sun out of her eyes... She was always fine after that... And even now insists on a cap if it's sunny or a wooly hat if there's a chance her ears might get cold...

Krystal - yeah i know that formula is based on cows milk - but it seemed to be only cows milk itself that was giving him the wheeze (though im still thinking it was coincidence wheeze stopped but anyway), he was fine with all other types of dairy. Will maybe try cows milk on his breakfast next week and see what happens. And then if he's alright with that i might give him cows milk to drink in the morning just, instead of formula. I know the recommendation is 12 months but he's getting a good varied diet and still 3 feeds a day from me, so I reckon he's getting all his nutrients.

None of mine ever wore sunglasses when they were little. Don't they tend to screw their eyes up and look away to protect themselves?
