My poor baby has thrush in his mouth!! Ds2 also had this when he was a babe, but I can't remember how long it lasts.

    Anybody any idea?

I have got the nystatin liquid from the docs, but forgot to ask when I was there how long it usually takes to clear up. One silly thing is, with the liquid it says keep it in your outh for 1-2mins before swallowing, how exactly are you meant to get a baby to do that:confused:

can you mix it in Kai's bottle so its swooshing round his mouth for a bit?
I think I heard someone say its only a few days before bubs cheers up but not delt with it myself.
Hope all else is well with you and ur brood xx

Back from 6 week check - no, she didn't need to check my foof, or any part of me. Just got the usual blurb about contraception.

Baby is weighing in at 10lb 8oz (6lb 12oz at birth). So at least I know she's getting plenty of milk!

Pity we don't have measuring devices on our boobs so we know how much they're getting!?!

We don't need to know how much they're getting, as long as they are satisfied and healthy ;)

Ooh - while you're here Krystal.

When the HV came a few weeks ago, she didn't fill in the graphy bit in the Red Book, as mine was a Formula one, and she didn't have any B/F ones on her. (Apparently the red books come with the F/F charts in them).

Anyway, the Dr. we saw this morning, filled in the graphy bit, and I mentioned what the HV had said. Dr. said she wasn't aware there was any differencein weight gain/different graphs for F/F or B/F.

    Is there?

I wondered about that but thought it might just dilute it and make it less effective!! I have been dunking a dummy in it and hoping it will get onto his tongue slightly more that way?

We are all fine, thanks for asking:D The boys are starting to pay a little more attention to Kai now he has his eyes open a bit longer:)

Sami - i'm sure he will be fine:) Luca was more interested in Jaden than he is in Kai...I think the age the two of them are now, they are more interested in the Playstation, and Jaden is like Luca's shadow so spends most of the time with him :D
What age gap will there be when baby arrives?

oh yeah it's in you sig!!! He should be fine:)

There is a difference in the way breastfed and formula fed babies gain weight... Formula fed babies tend to have a smoother rate of growth whereas breastfed babies gain in fits and starts...

There are new graphs being rolled out but not sure if they're in general circulation just yet... Really the books should come with no graph in and have the appropriate one put in postnatally...

I wouldn't worry about it being plotted on the wrong graph at the moment anyway, just use it as a visual guide to how weight gain is growing, just don't take it as gospel that a rigid line has to be followed...

just went to meet a prospective childminder for Oz. And i really don't know, I mean i don't have a really good feeling or a bad feeling. The only concern I have is that there was a one year old child there who was strapped into a buggy the whole time, he seemed content enough but that wouldn't suit Oz at all he roams around a lot. There would be 4 other children besides Oz - the one yr old, a 2 yr old and 2 3 yr olds. The room for playing in was about 12ft by 9ft, does that seem big enough to anyone ? At home here Oz has the whole house to roam about in the living room alone is over 20ft long.

Now that I've typed that I see that I do have concerns. How do you ever know that you can leave your baby? its so hard, i feel close to tears thinking about it. The woman herself seemed nice and motherly type, and all the kids she has hvae been with her since they were babies, and they all seemed to love her - hugging her and having cuddles.

Aaaaagh. how does anyone do this?!!!
    DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY ;)
