:rotfl: I hate Amadeus with a passion!!!
The 360 cup is like some kind of evil device that is impossible to drink from, the cow cup top is impossible to get off and the lid impossible to get on
I've got the 360 cup and some curved cutlery ready to put on ebay - speaking of which anyone know where I can get some 'bent' cutlery.
CG - We have some super sippers and the smaller version but I find they leak in Chris's bag :(
I'm looking for a more grown up bottle really like the sigg one but not necessarily metal, I've been thinking that I may end up using sports cap water bottles and just having to replace them every so often - why is it that the cheap disposable things are the best?!?!

We use a cheap sports bottle for Imogen's water (I know she has to suck, but we're past the whole sucking/confusion stage thing). She has tommee tippee non-spill cups for milk with the valve removed (only a sharp knife needed). I hadn't realised there was such a variety of cups out there!

Off to my mum's in the morning until Saturday - for a bit of a rest if I'm honest. OH is away Thursday night and Imogen is just soooo active right now I'm stuggling to keep up. I've only just got over the early pg tiredness and now I'm nearly into the late tiredness

Nad - good luck for Friday. Make sure you let us know how you get on. I know it feels awful leaving them, and we're all different, but I was glad of the chance to exercise my brain and to be Lu again, not Imogen's mum. Saying that, I'm def looking forward to 9 months off soon :T

Ooh! exciting news too (I'll try to remember to post this on the pg club - well I would, but I can't find the new one, they can't half chat. Sami-can you help?!!) Our work has a childcare voucher scheme which we use to buy vouchers before tax to pay for Imogen's nursery. I've just found out that if I'm buying the vouchers before I go on mat leave work will pay for them while I'm on SMP :T :T Apparently there was some sex discrimination ruling that means this is the case, so I expect it'll be the same for anyone with a work voucher scheme. Bonus! For us that's £136 a month we don't have to shell out (just for one day a week at nursery  ) but for others it could be up to the max of £243 a month.

Beccles - I hope when you said imodium you mean tesco own brand lopromide for 94 ish p? ;)

Of course :D I just couldn't remember the generic name.

I never buy brand name medicines - just get ibuprofen instead of Nurofen, own brand decongestant instead of Sudafed and so on. As long as the active ingredients are the same as the brand names, it does the same job!

Cups - we just used the Tommee Tippee cheapest ones. Think they were 99p and a bit more for one with a foldy down spout. The are no valves on them but they do dribble if they get knocked over, and she's been told off for watering the dog with them

She's got a Advent sports bottle style toddler cup now that she's past the sucking confusion stage.
Here I go again on my own....

Dormouse!!:eek: What? I do hope that's rare! I'm always dragging a baby hand around... Thanks for the warning!
Rare - oh no! Apparently it's very very common, my niece had it as well. Just google 'pulled elbow' and you'll see just how common it is. Apparently they grow out of it by the time they're 4-5 so only a couple more years of paranoia!

At least it's very easily fixable, which is a relief. I had visions of having to have a cast and stuff, but it was literally a quick pop back into place, resulting in a happy toddler again.

Reagrding cups, thankfully Alex has recently mastered non-spill cups, which is brilliant as he loves shaking cups upside down  . Before this, I used to take the valves out, but now I don't have to! :j He has some Tesco own brand non-spill ones, and Tommy Tippee ones.

    No, thank goodness! :D

Both times I have combined my 6w with baby's 8w check. I did have my BP checked but not sure whether thats due to me having high BP during pregnancy or my request to go back on the pill.

How quickly do those first 6w fly?!

    xx

Oh - goody - i didn't want to tidy, OH would get ideas! :D

These first six weeks have passed in some sort of zombiefied haze!

"nursemaid's elbow - This is a very common childhood injury, also known as subluxation of the radial head. It typically happens when a toddler's elbow is hyperextended (bent beyond the fully straightened position) in the course of roughhousing with Uncle Jack or especially when Mom is hurrying along, toddler in tow, and Precious decides to sit down all of a sudden and have a tantrum for that shiny toy on the shelf"
    http://www.drhull.com/EncyMaster/N/nursemaids_elbow.html

Some kids have more flexible ligaments than others tho, I know a friend of a friend who's LO's elbow pops out at the drop of a hat he's same age as Chris but has done it about 10 times already
It's obviously his injury of choice :rotfl: Chris's is a toss up between bumping his head or getting black thingies under his nails - which is most annoying because they take ages to grow out so everyone has plenty of time to spot them and think I'm not looking after him

Oh before I forget again! Christopher is now finally the proud owner of 13 teeth :D at this rate he won't have them all until he's at school :p

That's scary about the elbow Dormouse. Hope he feels better soon.

It's natural instinct when they trip or run off to grab them by an arm, but I'm going to be a bit wary of that now!

My poor baby has thrush in his mouth!! Ds2 also had this when he was a babe, but I can't remember how long it lasts.

    Anybody any idea?

I have got the nystatin liquid from the docs, but forgot to ask when I was there how long it usually takes to clear up. One silly thing is, with the liquid it says keep it in your outh for 1-2mins before swallowing, how exactly are you meant to get a baby to do that:confused:
