How do they work? Does baby just chew on the necklace?

What do u guys do if baby has longer nap than usual? My LO usually naps for 1 hr in the morning but this morning he's still sleeping 2 and half hrs later. Should I wake him or enjoy the rest? I'm worried he wont sleep well tonight.
    xx

i would tell you that i can leave danny if he wants a long nap and he will still sleep as normal tonight...
but i might get my hand slapped :o  :D

He woke up after nearly 3 hrs sleep. I wont let him sleep too much now for the rest of the day. He's woken up happy.
It gave me a chance to do some much needed tidying up around the house!

  • Hi ladies,

My first Mothers Day brought me hormones by the bucketful!! We didn't have the best of nights on Saturday with Benjamin just wanting to feed all night so we were both shattered. Hubby brought me up a card and some Thorntons in bed (so much for getting rid of the baby weight lol) and I was laughing saying it was next week. Hubby convinced me it was yesterday and I realised I hadn't posted my card to my mum (who lives 90 minutes away) - cue bucketfulls of tears.

My mum, of course, couldn't give two hoots that she didn't get a card as long as Benjamin and I are alright but tiredness and hormones got the better of me.

Midwife has been this morning and Benjamin now weighs 8lb 10oz - only 4oz below his birth weight. MW seems happy with this so we will keep on doing as we were doing!

Hope everyone is well - I am reading but I am not convinced much is going in at the moment.

The walk into town seemed to get him off to sleep for a bit, i havent heard of amber necklaces for teething before? will take a look! I'm taking him to the doctors again tonight as hes coughing and weezing more then when we took him last time, im worried its got a lot worse which is also affecting his sleep.

the weather is rather rubbish today, but i'm glad we made the most of last week and went on walks to the park etc literally every day!

The amber beads apparently release some resin that works on the salivary glands? I know it sounds like hocus pocus, but we had to get bibs meant for heavy dribblers; once he was wearing the necklace he stopped dribbling completely!

    It's worth trying for £10?

I've never heard of these before either. Thank you! Will mention them them to SIL. My nephew has to have his bib changed every 1/2hr and has a itchy rash around his neck. Definately worth a try.

I have this feeling permanently at the moment! reading is easier than a conversation - you can reread, but there is only so many times you can ask someone to repeat what they have just said!!!!

What age are the teething necklaces meant for? It doesn't really seem very safe to me for a little tot to be wearing something round their neck:confused:

You might find he has a sudden spurt in his development... Babies sleep more while they're learning something new ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
