aww Agutka you're having a bit of a bad time hun
I've yet *touch wood* to experience the super pooh -hope I don't have to ever!!
I don't know what it is but some kids just get scared by looking at me and others I've never met latch on to me as if they've known me forever so I wouldn't worry to much about the kids at ur group
I've just been talking about smears in the preg thread, I've never had one as I'm under 25 but I'm sure it'll be no worse than all the faffing I went through to get my coil out, there was much proding and poking by 4 seperate doctors, in the end I got to see the inside of my lady bits on tele - most interesting! Did you know that the inside of your cervix/womb looks kinda like candy floss? :cool:0 -
I've seen my cervix on TV too sami! My Nan asked me what it looked like... I told her all shiney and pink... She thought that must of been a good sign lol...
Agutka... I find just talking to the children when they come to you and otherwise not paying them much attention helps... Children are like cats... They'll go to the person in the room who's fussing over them the least!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I also had babycham when i was a kid, and dad gave it to my elderly grandmother too as she didn't drink much at all - he saw it as a light tipple.
It was only in more recent years that we discovered that it is actually something like 6% proof!!
No wonder my old grandmother used to be singing after a couple of them! :rotfl:0 -
Sami and Krystal - what kind of shows do you watch!! :rotfl:
Speaking of cervixes- my husband has just rolled home, drunk and hungry. After a hard day at work he met up with some of the guys (boring IT people these are) and they ended up in a random pub, where hubby was pleasantly suprised they had dancing, stripping, naked girls :eek:. The other guys have to lie to their wives, he told me, but I can tell you where we went because you're soooo coooool, he said. Now I have a lovely mental image of hard working hubby, as I put on yet another load of soiled baby clothing in the washing machine... Cool indeed.
Pass me the babycham.:wall:0 -
I have to say I'd be glad DH was honest, but would tell him he wouldn't expect me to be anything but VERY cool for the next little while ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

Weezl, bless you for worrying. You'll be trying to shake him off your leg in a few months time. We never had a problem with Joseph as he never focused on anyone and if you tried to make him his little head would turn away. For weeks I wondered what on earth was on my right shoulder :rotfl:. He's still not keen on cuddles and as for kisses, he's never understood the point
.
Sounds like my eldest - hated (still does!) kisses / cuddles, has never said I love you unless I said it first (and even then it's a mumbled, duty I Love you). But he does show it in other ways now. No.2 is completely different - you don't just get one kiss you get ten! And Tom is a big kisser too.
The milk talk is ompletely over my head as I'm still breastfeeding - even though Tom's 14 months and I said I would definitely give up at 12 months. He's still a really keen feeder though. My Mam thinks I should just refuse him and is always making remarks about how he's "too old for that now" but the odd time I've said no he's gone beserk. I'm sort of hoping he'll just lose interest but people keep saying "Ooh, he'll still be feeding when he goes to school". Anyone had experience with feeding older babies? Did they self-wean or do you have to do it?0 -

I went to an ante natal class to talk about what it's really like to breastfeed (the mw asked our bfing group for a couple of us to go, very good idea I think!) and young Celia sat there munching on the cow and gate cow! That's the closest she's come to formula as well which us something I'm very proud of as it's been bloody difficult!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
Hi ya, the goodnight seemed to help settle Elliot last night...although he did a trick of rolling over and getting stuck so cried out for help! rolled him back over and he went back to sleep lol.
Wish i hadnt failed at breastfeeding, but cant keep going over it in my head-it'll just end up depressing me.

Charlotte was on breastmilk at first then went onto a follow on formula. I kept her on that till she was 13 months as we went to Turkey just after her birthday and I thought the different taste of Turkish milk might confuse her. When we came back, I weaned her onto cows milk.
I wasn't keen on the night time milks. They remind me of the old tales of adding a spoonful of porridge oats to the night bottle. However people do drink things like Ovaltine or Horlicks before bed, so I suppose it's just like a baby version of those.
Alcohol - was brought up in a house where it was never taboo and so it was never the "forbidden fruit" when I was a teenager. Been pretty relaxed about it with the boys, and they'll have a glass of wine with special meals and sometimes they have a small beaker of beer if we're watching the football, having a BBQ - that kind of thing. Charlotte has had tiny sips of wine and beer and seems to like it, but I wouldn't let her have more than a sip.
I've seen my cervix too! I had an abnormal smear and had to have a biopsy and the dodgy cells frozen off. They put the TV monitor on, but I had to ask them to turn it off as for the biopsy bit, she just got some scissor type things and started cutting bits out - arrgh! Biopsy came back fine and I've not had any further problems.
Had a rottern night. I was bad yesterday evening with tummy cramps and the runs, but I suffer from IBS and I was blaming that. Went up to bed and checked on Charlotte as I do every night and she was fast asleep and covered in sick. Had to wake her up and then bath her and wash her hair and change her bed. She's been up numerous times being sick again during the night, so I've got a washer full of sheets and jarmies this morning. I feel rough too, and I've got a really busy day at work, but I really just want to go back to bedHere I go again on my own....0 -

The thing is it's not a failure, you gave it your very best shot and it didn't work out for you both. Look at it this way, if you could have done it you would have done right? Formula was invented for exactly this reason when you just can't breastfeed! Don't feel bad as there is nothing to feel bad about!
If it helps Celia was up for the day at 4.45 this morning after being up at 9.30 and 1.30! *yawn*Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0
