Never heard of this mix stuff but I used normal fennel tea you can get in tea bags by twinings, clipper etc from super market, its exactly the same as Hipp fennel drink but obviously cheaper! just brew it in a bottle/sipper cup and let it cool before giving it to bubba. Tada!

carol my wee man used to do a poo in every nappy until 12 weeks then overnight it changed to 1 a day and then (and still) now he does one sometimes every other day but most of the time theres 3 days in between. I'm breastfeeding too. At the start i was really worried but he's just regulating himself and I'm sure thats what you LO is doing as well, "they" say babies start to regulate their poos in and around 12 weeks, so thats probably whats happening. Try not to worry like the others say unless he's in discomfort then its perfectly normal.

Soooo proud of DS, hes been at fulltime school a month and is doing so well already! Hes filled 2 of his sticker charts and got certificates for them. And the school do a thing called Learning Heros, where each month the teachers choose 3 children from each year group that have worked really hard and my little man got it this month! He had to stand up in assembly to get his certificate, and have his photo taken. I got a copy of it thru the post today! Dead proud! :)

Yay - well done little man :j

The feeling never goes. My eldest is 11 and got a stamp in his planner for excellent French work, and I'm chuffed to bits with him.

He also had to find out which is the only British football team with a J in it. I knew it was St Johnstone, so he told the teacher he was impressed because I knew straight away. His teacher sent a planner stamp for me :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

Hi Carol :) 9 weeks! You're doing great. Breastfed babies can go quite a long time without a poo - 10 days is on the far end of the scale but still perfectly normal. The reason is that there is very little waste from breastmilk so it is all used up, pretty much!

I would not give water at this age, your milk will be enough :)

Have you got treatment for the thrush?

    :grouphug:
thanks his taking NYSTAN DROPS. hes had that for over two weeks.

finally seeing surgeon on the 10th about his belly button, its really big down.

can you give the fennal tea at two months, the HIPP ones say 3 months.

NADNAD, hes 8 weeks is that too early??

my other son is almost 14 years and we finally got his sats results, he got the highest mark in school in his maths and his name was in the school letter, i was so pround, that feeling never goes, took him out for a meal to say well done

If the hipp says 3 months I'd wait until then or ask your HV she may say its fine I can't remember how soon I used it to be honest

carol - well all the books say around 12 weeks they may start to regulate, so some are gonna be more some less. For a long time after my wee man stopped pooing every day i worried about it and even now i'm glad to see that stinky poo on (usually) the 4th day! But as long as the baby doesnt seem distressed then I wouldnt worry. The HV did tell me to give him a teaspoon of prune juice in an ounce of boiled cooled water if I thought he needed help, so you could try that if you want.

    Hello
regarding breastfed babies and pooing, from about 6 weeks my daughter stopped going every nappy change to every 3 or 4 days, the longest she went was 7 days but she never showed any signs of discomfort therefore I never gave extra water or anything.
