Everyone on the pregnancy thread is probably laying on sofas with their feet up enjoying their last moments of freedom, while the people on her are rushed off their feet and trying to post between shovelling food into little mouths, picking toys up and cleaning sticky handprints off the windows :D
Here I go again on my own....

tee hee I'm in the preg club and although we do talk a LOT they've given us a new thread much quicker than last time we're not sure why but the pt 3 thread was about half as long as the 1 and 2 ones :D

Nadanad: glad you've joined a group! Chris loved his jolly babies class which sounds like a similar thing. did you say there isn't a surestart near you? its just I think the classes are much cheaper through them, the most I've paid is £2.50 but most are free.
I'm really glad that I seem to be passed the morning sickness so I'm hoping I can beat the sleepiness to get up early on monday to get back to my toddler group :j poor Chris has hardly been out of the house with me lately
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

I think also a lot people on the pregnancy thread don't make it back on after the baby is born. Hence why the "probably been born" list is longer than the "births" list.

  • I'd be interested to know how many babies have been born since the Pregnancy Club first started, plus I can't believe its been 2.5 years either, where's that gone? I don't know if everyone has progressed over to the Parent thread or not and it would be hard to count every single page to see. Not that any parent would possibly have the time or inclination. Haven't heard about any multiple MSE births yet either have we?

I am so tired. Well, sleepy. No idea why, the doctor just said, well, it's a good thing you get a chance to nap when baby sleeps! Yes, lovely, and who exactly is going to do the housework? I've been feeling pooey for months.
Yesterday I got a speeding ticket, then scraped hubby's car with a carpark barrier and then got rear-ended by some bloke on my way home. Hubby not pleased, we're not made of money, so he's cancelled christmas!

The whole family says Joseph looks like a starving child and then the try to force feed him (I caught mother trying to physically hold his mouth open whilst attacking him with a loaded spoon!). Although I am happy that he's just skinny - he eats his meals unless he's ill or teething, which he's been a lot lately. And is always full of beans, so there is nothing wrong with him, apart from needing skinnier clothes.

We've had three new teeth come out of nowhere and he's using two words - 'mid-ga' (attempt at milk progressed from a simple mee) and 'ooooh' which means light (hubby's fault for months of playing with light switches and just saying oooh instead of the right word).

I'll go now, I need to magic some cash out of thin air. Or just go nestle back into bed...

agutka - i'd go and nestle in bed!!

poor you, thats a bad day, but tomorrows a new one. did you get the details of the guy who rear ended you cos he should be paying for that. i know how awful you feel after damaging a car, but at the end of the day its just bits of metal (as my OH kept telling me after i reversed my car into his!!), so try not to feel too bad.
    DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY ;)

Agutka, talk to your HV, then go back to your GP, or see a different one, having written down ALL your niggles.

And stuff the housework. Honestly, it doesn't get significantly worse after a bit. I've got 20 years of stuffing the housework to prove it!

And yes, nap when you can. Sit when you can. I know I've said before, but I developed a taste for cold tea by saying "I'll do that when I've finished my cup of tea, darling." "No, darling, I haven't quite finished my cup of tea yet." "Sorry love, I've still got a little bit of tea left."
