Have signed using my junk web email addy (just in case). However, will keep an eye on it as I would be interested in finding out the results. It would only be of use to me if this discount is available at supermarkets.

  • Have to say, i spend about 3000quid on diesel a year, so any reduction at all would have a big effect on my yearly fuel spend.

But, as other people have pointed out on here, it depends on how this discount works. I currently fill up at my local tescos which is the cheapest for me. Its 92.9 a litre for diesel at the moment and 87.9 for unleaded. That compares to one local garage who is selling unleaded for 109.9 a litre. Now, if this fuel card gave me 10p a litre off fuel at that garage, it would *still* be more expensive than tescos. Plus, i get club card points at tescos, and very often 5p a litre off if i spend over £50 in store.

I think 5p is feasible, yet it may be 5p off average fuel prices not 5p off supermarket prices.

Oh - do you think that supermarket prices are lower than others? Can't say I've noticed!

While I was reading that, several postings appeared saying supermarket prices are cheaper. Unfortunately not in my part of the world. I pass Sainsbury's, Tesco, BP, Shell and Texaco garages on my way to work, and they're much of a muchness. In fact, the Shell is usually a little cheaper.
