Ok I need a reasonably priced BYOB restaurant in the Belfast area. We regularly go to L'Etoile but want a change. Any suggestions folks? My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.

The restaurant beside Renoir (Botanic Av) is amazing. Its the same food etc as renoir, but "next-door", although you go in the same door etc etc, but its BYO. Top notch food IMHO!!

"the waitresses/waitors tend to speak rather broken english"
Yes, I'm sure those 'waitors' have a lot to learn, Stevie.
Pedantic I know but I couldn't resist that, as reading your original comment made me smile.
But back to the important business:
For a newish BYO with superb food I would recommend Tao noodle bar on the Dublin Road in south Belfast. It's small but very reasonably priced and the staff probably speak better English than most of us Norn Iron folk. Bonus!0 -
There was supposed to be a report in the Belfast Telegraph in the last 2 weeks about the findings of 800 food establishments in Derry. The establishments which got rated A were supposed to be the worst and Austins of Derry got an A!!
Does anyone have a link to these findings or did anyone read the report? I did google it but I found nothing, can anyone help?0 -

It's at the of the dublin road heading country bound. This map should help:

And yes, I would book. Not sure about the other place.

Hi
Just wanted to add to this thread a link to a site which I have found quite good for deals on meals. Covers Belfast only I'm afraid. The good thing is that your booking is confirmed straight away by email.

Hope someone finds this helpful
