A smile and manners doesnt cost any thing
  • I don't like to shop in these stores because they have an awful habit of overcharging and I'm sick of going back to get my money:mad:

I've never had that (and I'm probably in Aldi 4 or 5 days a week). Perhaps it's a problem with a particular store?

If so many people are repulsed by Aldi and Lidl, simple - DON'T GO!, why do the rest of us have to know about it

    FiFi

isnt that what a forum is about !! different opinions on a variety of subjects but just for the record i have no intention of shopping there again.

I just buy the Siana face cream from Aldi - occasionally I buy alcohol - I cannot understand how anyone can do a 'weekly' shop in there.

We use it for filter coffee and biscuits for work

Oh and the milk tends to go off quickly too

I guess it depends on what you want to buy!

Went for a wander around ALDI with hubby yesterday. (Refurbished store about 6 months ago) as we keep trying and never like it.

    I hate the place!

The biscuits/crisps ect are very poor quality, the cleaning/ washing stuff is cheapo, the fruit and veg we do not even look at because the last lot was mouldy the next day, bread has been mouldy by the time we get home in the past so we do not look at thatat all. All the TAT in the middle just blocks up the shop, I picked up 5 things in a row with no big yellow price poster ( and I did walk round in circles in case it was missplaced), the beer and wine is not any cheaper and after all that I just wanted to get back out again (via the groups full of big/old people in anoraks that seem to use the place as a y gossip shop.

NEVER AGAIN. and yes it does smell awful.

The crisps and biscuits ive tried have been of very good quality,
teh fruit and veg you have to buy it first morning eg when they open up as the fruit and veg sells and maybe the same with the bread
the stuff in the middle isnt TAT its top quality stuff, the TAT cant be that bad if people buy it, my mum bought a pair of walking boots from there 2 years ago and theyre still good, she got a pair of walking poles from lidl at same time and theyre still doing well, have you actually used any of the TAT

You are kidding me about the deli meat, have you actually eaten it? The mere look of the sorry deli meat makes me shudder and feel like heaving never mind eat it. I couldn't care less how cheap it is, it's not fit for dog consumption never mind human consumption.

the deli meat from aldi and lidl is fine, ive eaten it, i like the salami from aldi
