Valid point there I think. Everyone has their vices, but I have little sympathy for 'skint' people who spend a fortune on cigs/alcohol/lottery tickets (and that includes my OH)

    Thank you

I have been totally mis quoted.

The carrier bags mis quote is pathetic

I crashed into a ditch, not another car, thank you for your nice thoughts.

Then I suggest you drive more carefully in future. A 4x4 won't stop you driving into a ditch again. It will, however, cause significantly more damage to pedestrians and other car drivers should you drive into them. That's assuming the other car driver isn't in a 4x4. Not to mention the impact on the environment. Are you one of those mums who turns up at the school in her 4x4 and parks on the zig-zag lines?

I had a bad crash a few years back. I didn't go out and buy a 4x4 because of it.

She openly admitted to calling Schamansky a low life chav thug.

He made goading posts about/to me, I never even addresed him on here.

She also called him a racist He called me "white trash"

    and both of us sexist.

The sexism thing was ironic in itself in that she was guilty of sexism in her assumption that she was talking to two men (I am actually female).

I just though it wasn't very nice the way I was being singled out, rude comments HAVE been made on both sides, but it wasn't me who made them. BUT I NEVER CALLED EITHER OF YOU SEXIST, THAT IS YET ANOTHER LIE & MISQUOTE BY YOU.

No witchhunt here. I just hate people who attack others, then try to play to play the innocent when they get attacked back.

I don't agree that her having an accident is reason enough to get a 4x4. I would say she needs to slow down and watch the road more.

I was doing 20, it was the worst day last year for accidents "offically" & as your NOT paying for my car I don't give a rats ar5e whether you agree or not.

My daughters 21, there you go again, jumping to assumptions:rolleyes:

I find it good for the country roads especially when they are flooded.

Actually this is WHAT I really said:rolleyes:
Someone made a post about how "others" had said they would be embarrassed to carry their bags.

Just to be clear - the post about so-called "others" was actually referring to a post by someone else much earlier in the thread. As I said earlier, until you responded to one of my posts I had at no time referred to you or any post by you. :o

MrsE, I should just cut your losses here. I can't see what you've said to deserve all this. Certain remarks, like the £4k holiday, seem to have been (deliberately?) taken entirely out of context, and offence taken where it almost certainly wasn't intended.
  • Gosh, MrsE, do your neighbours know you have spent so long typing on an Aldi/Lidl/Netto thread?!

Is the 4x4 yours or the taxi your DH drives?

BTW, I actually ventured into Netto today and bought my little girl a Silver Cross dolls version of her own pram. One of their 'bargains' of the day. I will think of you when she opens it on xmas day...

You assumed I was male. Attacking me on the basis of your assumption was sexist in itself.

So, how does driving a 4x4 stop you from having another accident? You drive one of the most environmentally unfriendly types of car out there, yet would be too embarrassed to be seen using plastic carrier bags (especially ones from Aldi/Lidl/Netto)? See, I believe you use the hessian bags because it's fasionable to do so right now. I believe you couldn't give a rat's !!!! about the environment in any way, shape or form. If you did, you wouldn't be driving a 4x4 regardless of any accidents you may have had in the past.

I KNOW it wasn't directed at me, thats why I didn't quote or name you.

I was actually addressing the silliness of saying that. Not the silliness of what you said, the silliness of why you had to make the point, IYKWIM.

How was it an assumption? I never stated it as fact. I asked you a question, hence the question mark. More words for you to add to that list I gave you earlier for dictionary.com.
