Maybe their salesman are scared of being jumped-upon by lonely housewives?........Maybe there is a market for female double-glazing salespeople, to sell to all these strong-minded home-owning independent women.....Troo, I found a job for you! :rotfl:

It's a bit far for me to trundle across town to there, just in case you've left anything behind, so think I will stick to Mr T's - after all, I work just over the fence so can nip in & pick up stuff quite easily! I think they had a herd of cows in the back today - lots of reduced beef joints, oxtail () and steak......stands back as Whatatwit stampedes to meat aisle in search of bargains.....

BTW, that Tesco store is closing for about 8 days in October for its "refurb"...... should be interesting, our canteen will have to double it's grocery orders to feed the staff who normally get lunch from Mr T!

I can see Whatatwit stampeeding! I don't drive, hence the local Co-Op! I have already got "competition" on the RTC in the Co-Op as one of the police officers near me is onto them! He and I exchange nods then rush to the shelf! So far, it's stayed friendly ...... :D
  • Hi there

I am so tired tonight. Got called in to neighbours last night to babysit DS1 while they took DS2 (a year old) to hospital with breathing problems. 10.30 until 3.30, not a problem, glad to help and fortunately the wee man although not great is on the mend.

DD not doing well with her depression and am worried about her. It was her birthday yesterday - she was born on a Monday and 28 years later her birthday is on a Monday.

Sorry not to mention specific happenings.

    Love and hugs to all.

  • Hi everybody :hello: specially ivyleaf for giving me a wave today when I've been ignoring everybody :o

Just popping in to say hello really :) Yes, thriftlady, that was me you spotted in the 10-second interview slot at the Last Night of the Proms (and shh... don't tell anybody but the man I was being interviewed with is my ex-BF... the source of the nickname Bargain Rzl ;))

(If anybody wants to see it, it's about 1 minute 30 seconds into this clip, which I suspect will only be available through the link for a couple more days)

Hugs to PP and anybody else whose bad news I have missed.

    Love Rzl xx

    lol :D

FIL rang mr troo and asked him if I'd do some cleaning for him - why didn't he ask me direct? 2 hours per week for £15 :D I said I can't take money off him, but he said I'm not allowed to do it for free. Actually I think he should pay more, at Christmas we cleared the house out (he moved to Scotland but a month later he came back - don't ask  ), it was gross, he'd be a perfect candidate for Kim and Aggie :D

Can't see your interview Rzl...only available in UK apparently, glad the proms went down well!

Rain all day here, miserable...but we are promised 3 whole days now when it will not rain...whoo, can I handle it.

Dog tired to-night, would use my new dishwasher but it won't work unless I use salt and I have none...tomorrow then...

    Sleep well all

    [strike]Cos I'm cheap[/strike] just kidding ;)

His nickname for me was/is Roozle (long story!) in various forms, including Bargain Roozle (cos he's rich and he's always thought the fact that I have an eye for a bargain is quite sweet ), which I shortened to Rzl as a sort of monogram.

Sorry you can't see it meanmarie :(

    Evening All

Decided not to take the job in Spain, the money's not worth it.

Another long day today, but tomorrow will be longer. It's the day of the charity fashion show and I'm incredibly nervous!! Four outfits to strut in!!

Watching a very clever programme on the tv about tigers.

Must get to bed soon, very sleepy - and need my beauty sleep before my public appearance:rotfl:

    Hope everyone's ok
