    :hello: Good morning!

There's a definite Autumn feel to the air today. Yesterday I went out to the local shops wearing a blouse, but I think a coat will be needed today

Looking after DGD this afternoon while DGS is having his 2nd MMR. I think we'll buy him a little toy this morning to take his mind off it when he comes home ;)

    Kaat_Lady - Happy birthday!:bdaycake:

jannyannie - Happy Anniversary _party_ _party_ I hope you're feeling better today

Penny_Pincher - glad you were able to sort things out with your helper and I hope that it will be okay now. Sorry you are in so much pain today, but it's nice to hear that you had a good sleep at any rate!

MRS TITTLEMOUSE - hope you have a lovely time with your granddaughter!

Essex girl - fingers crossed for you here too! :)

jayward - so glad to hear your OH's job is safe! Our son-in-law works for a City bank too, and I always anxiously scan the financial pages in the paper these days.

betheebee - glad Ben is doing so well! Try not to get worn out looking after hin as well as doing all the other things!

joannasmum - hope your DH is okay and that he won't have to wait long for his tests/treatment. Our DD1 had to be rushed to hospital , not the Saturday just gone but the one before, they think she has gallstones but she has to wait until next month for an ultrasound

Sunnydays - was it you who posted a link to Highfield Lodge? It looks lovely, and how great to be able to take your dogs! Hope you have a good time.

Churchmouse, Bargain Rzl, Shez, VickyA, Stefejb, Catowen, mrs_mix :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello:

Got to go now and take a couple of jumpers back to BHS - I got the same size as last year but they are much too big, and I know quite well I haven't lost much weight so they must have "upped" their sizing again

((((HUGS)))) to everyone in need of one, and Congratulations to anyone else celbrating family birthdays or anniversaries today.

    best wishes

    ivyleaf xx:wave:

    Happy Anniversary Janny-annie & OH

When are you coming out so we can Spiderhunt redruby? The only things I dislike over here are earwigs, so they don't live long if they come near (had 3 in the caravan this weekend:eek: ) They don't survive a size 8 well:rotfl: :rotfl: . Not very keen on the cockroaches that are in Spain either, but they are part of warm countries, and I have traps down everywhere JIC. Not as paranoid as some though.

Some success yesterday, two things returned and credited, the one factory shop I wanted in Leeds had closed for stocktaking:o so will have to see if I can get back there before I go, as I need to return some things and get a matching ceiling light to the wall lights I have for the new bedroom set up.
Managed to get more things away, seems to be working out reasonably well, however, not found anywhere for my shoes yet:rolleyes:   . Also did more paperwork, DH came and extracted me at 12.30am and I woke up at 6am and started again. Just switched router on, that keeps me off here. Also managed to fit some food shopping in, cooked a chicken

Today, bring some more things down from the loft to fill up the wardrobes )mainly DH's clothes) get bags down for Spain so I can sort organising, and hopefully get to town to get some curtains! 1 Load of washing already on the line b4 9.

    Catch you when I can.
    Take care - DG

It's p1ssin down here again, I can't believe anyone ever manages to get anything dry on the line at the mo:o
DD and I have nearly finished her room, I just have the dreaded glossing to do today, then am off to ALDI then to see Dad with some HM potato n leek soup which he loves.;)
DD had a good cry last night on the unfairness of it all, but it's understandable, and at least the idiot hasn't tried to fight for her, or that would've been harder
    Happy Birthday Kaat_Lady :bdaycake:

PP Do you wear a medical mask when you go out? In Japan they do it all the time. I would have thought London is pretty bad as well if you are worried about contracting germs.

    Congratulations to the Jannyannies.

I managed to get some cheap plums this morning, so I've got some plum jam on the go. I'm just hoping that it's done before I get the call from the engineer, also hoping that it's doesn't end up like AnnieBL plum toffee :D

Yesterday I had a bit of a shuffle round in the kitchen & I'm trying to get together a bit of a food stockpile before prices start to increase. (I daren't tell Mr or Miss Twit as they will think I've lost the plot) so far I've got 4 tins of treacle, some beans/tomatoes & tuna, oh and some longlife milk. Yum  yum
I thought I'd better hide the stuff otherwise the locusts will empty the cupboard without telling me. (on they go with the treacle) :D:D

    Afternoon all

Happy anniversary to Jannyannie & OH

    Happy birthday Kaatlady

Pennypincher, believe me, you'll be helping your friend just by being there for her when she needs someone to talk to.

Fingers X'd for all who have medical appointments, and ((((Hugs)))) for all who are poorly or otherwise hurting or sad.

I thought I'd got rid of my cold, but it's come back with a vengeance. I have to do some baking today, and I really don't feel like it. But it has to be done, or there'll be nothing for Mr LW's lunch box tomorrow.

I see from yesterdays thread that Spidey Safe is up and running - would you like me to run the Milton Keynes branch?

"Never harm the Spider, simply seek to guide her
And try to send her safely on her way"

I can cope with anything except wasps (I'm allergic), molluscs (they're just disgusting) and rats (carry nasties like weils disease).

    Have a good day, folks.

I am ready when you are :D , got me size 7's packet and rairing to go, :D

Have had a tidy round, no washing on the go today, as I did not have much and it looks a bit gloomy.

Have done the cheeseburger pie for tea, will shove it in the oven later, have also made a ginger cake, and lots of individual ginger cakes, dd likes a little snack when she gets in from school.

I have got compay coming round tonight to quote me for new facias and guttering, they just phoned to confirm, and asked if I would be alone, why would they do that ? , its really put my back up and freeked me out a bit, and I feel like cancelling, why do they need to know if I will be alone ?

    Well better get on xx
