Morning all, just caught up on y/days looooong thread.
re. spiders. Handyman and I had to pull down a ceiling at DD2's in here brick outbuilding, the size of a garage but was used as an office, I ended up wearing so many spiders, h/man was terrified of them and was pointing at them on me going AAArrrg, AAAArg, urg urg. Wuss!

Worked really hard y/day emptying the place and scraping all old plaster off the walls, I'm meeting plasterers there at 9am today. Can't do anything there so will continue painting the last of our bedrooms.

Y/day was so hot DH sat on the patio at DD's and read his book, is getting better by the day.

Having chicken and pasta tonight, am trying to find recipes which are low in cholertrol for DH.

Lots of congrats to those celebrating, and loads of hugs to those in need.

    Have a good day, Beth

    Hi PP.

    Hope you're feeling better soon.

When you're up to it, do you mind if I pm you regarding the cleaner - I think I will be going down that route. I spoke to the occ health when they did the assessment, but wanted to carry on doing stuff myself, so can't really remember what they said. I know I employ someone, but they also said something about there being a list of names

Your poor friend. At least you were able to provide a listening ear.

    :hello: Mornin

The SUN is shining here, sure does make you feel better when it does, its a pity I havent any washing to do, well I do but only about 1/2 a load, and I only do full ones nowadays, because of the cost of the 'lecky ;)

Off to mums in a bit to do her housework, mind you theres not a lot to do in a 1 bed flat, I can get round that in no time. She is so much happier there, as there are always people about, and she loves going up to the lounge for coffee every morning and a chat.

  • Good morning all,it's a truly horrible day here raining and cold, such a contrast to yesterday when it got out lovely.I have my granddaughter coming for tea tonight. She's 17 and is so busy these days I'm just grateful she has the time to visit. She's asked for mince and dumplings and bread and butter pudding so that's what I 'll be making.
It was so dark when I got up,it's started to make me dread winter coming. I'm trying to get myself organised at the moment as I have to do jury duty in just over a weeks time.I'm dreading it, I don't think I'll be able to sit still long enough.I hate sitting around so goodness knows how I'll manage for at least a fortnight.
Congrats to all those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and get well soon to those feeling poorly.
Have a a good day everyone.
  • Hi all ,another damp, cold morning here today, didn't get a chance to play with my food dehydrator yesterday as DD1 rang and asked me to babysit DG as he was off school poorly and she was called into work. I think i will leave it until the weekend when hopefully i will have more time! I spent the afternoon searching for a 14" Superman bike for DG for Christmas and failed miserably. I have been looking for ages and just missed them on Amazon so i have ordered a blue/red rocket cycle and will put the superman stickers on it for him. Baked some peanut butter cookies and ill or not DG devoured them!
DD2's OH has an interview for a job today so fingers crossed as they could do with the extra income with her only having her maternity benefit.
Got a few loads of washing today so that will keep me busy, having roast pork for lunch so thats cooking nicely.
Congratulations to everyone with birthdays and anniversaries xx BSB
  • Morning all,

I've had a big Ninny day today with DGS down here at 6.30am and he has just left at 7pm. Yesterday I was out all day. Not sure if I'll have DGS tomorrow as XDIL went to the dr's today as she's been *tired* lately :D and might give work a miss tomorrow. IMO it's just because she's being doing some w**k lately and not sitting around on her bottom like she has done for years. But then again I'm being a b*tch. :D

Been a warm day here for Spring. The girls laid no eggs today. :naughty: Bookie keeps roaming over to John's (next door) when I let them out so I have to muster her along with a big stick. :D While I'm doing that Miss Polly gets into DH veggie patch. It was a real circus today as DGS helped. ;)

CharliesMum Had to go back and have a sticky on yesterday's thread. Gorgeous, darling, just gorgeous. :D
    Kaat Enjoy your birthday.
Jannyanne Hope you have a lovely anniversary.
CM I hope Chelsea wins. (Not really, but just saying that. :D)
PP Do you wear a medical mask when you go out? In Japan they do it all the time. I would have thought London is pretty bad as well if you are worried about contracting germs.

DH out the shower now so off to have mine and I'll have an early night. I'm pretty tired tonight. Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
