Morning all
Happy B'day to Kaat Lady
I'm off to work soon, I dropped hubby at the station just after 6 & I'm now sat here with my breakfast & a cuppa.
I took some pain killers & went to bed at 8:30 intending to watch tv, but fell straight asleep, didn't wake up til 5:15. I really hope I only have my own job to do today.
Iwas offered another lodger & nearly agreed, but he is strict muslim who has special dietry needs he also needed a room where he could put his prayer mat down in the right direction. I checked out my spare room, but it would have meant moving all the furniture round. All this on top of shopping for a special diet, when I am so busy at work, I decided not to accept him, it's a shame as he would have been interesting to talk to, I'm sure. But I have had 2 high maintenance lodgers on the trot. I'll probably regret it when hubby has no work & we are skint again, but just at the moment I need a break. I have signed up to take our next intake of trainees next September.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Good Morning
 Happy Anniversary Jannyannie
:bdaycake: Have a great Birthday Kaat-Lady :bdaycake:
Come on you blues!!!! Enjoy the match Churchmouse (am v jealous:D )
Looks like another nice day in Essex again so not suprisingly am about to throw some washing into the machine.
Have more office work to do today, had a change of plan yesterday, went to a factory shop with OH, couldnt get what he wanted but managed to get some more Xmas pressies.
OH has a consultant appointment at the hospital today so I will be going with him so he doesnt forget anything he is told. Hopefully they will OK his operation but we will wait and see.
Had some possible good news about some work yesterday, looks like one of our clients has some more work for us - will take some sorting & will be a while before the money comes in but we really need it so everything is crossed.
Spag Bol for dinner tonight, will make some french stick but must remember to get the BM going early as french dough takes so long.
Have a great day.

Another change of plan - looks like I have DD at home today, there has been nasty bugs going round the school - a flu type and a stomach one. She has had a bad headache & is a bit shaky so a day in bed for her.0 -
Morning all,
Happy Birthday Kaatladyand Happy Anniversary to the Jannyannies' - hope you all have lovely days.
Gather congratulations are in order for Dazi too? Hope everyone else is doing ok, will try & catch up on the threads later today to see what's going on... ((((((((hugs))))))) for all those not feeling great - hope those poorly OH's are all on the mend (Beth, hope Ben is ok).
Haven't made it on her properly for about 3 days (although I think I did a brief post the day before yesterday), but not had time to read through & catch up... Been busy putting shelves up, and painting a bedroom (then getting another migraine), but am feeling very satisfied with myself for being so clever!!! 3 more weeks before I'm back to Uni so I need/want to have the house dejunked as much as possible & feeling fairly tidy & organised, as I then won't have any time until next summer.... I find when the house isn't full of carp, I enjoy pottering & baking in the kitchen much more too.
Going to Uni today for an informal study group/coffee&gossip - we're trying to motivate ourselves. Got sausages in the fridge & think I might do Toad in the Hole for supper later. And make some rocky road.

Happy birthday Kaat!
Still feeling a bit ropey, so think I will go & do a day's hours & come home early.
Will catch up later

Morning all
It's a dry day here too, so will put some washing out.
We're off to a friend's house this morning, then going to the market for fruit and veg, which is much cheaper than buying from the shops. Plus the girls want to pick up some of their christmas presents. Thankfully, it's not clothes, as we would be there all day
I'm going to attempt spicy lentil soup today. I tried an Ainsley Harriot one the other day, and it was surprisingly nice, but hopefully mine will be nicer - especially as Pink pointed me in the right direction of a recipe off here
WM has just finished, BM is on so I need to get motivated. I'm waking the girls up at 8, so I've got about 20 minutes of peace left - just enough time for another cuppa!
Happy Birthday Kaatlady _party_ and Happy Anniversary to the Jannyannies. Enjoy your special days today.

Morning Guys!
Thanks for all the well wishes.
Had treatment yesterday that knocked me out last night and slept for 9hrs-which is great for me. OH put the thicker quilt on as I felt so cold which helped. All my joints, muscles and bones have been giving me grief the last couple of days and Im in quite alot of pain, but the nurse is coming out to give me something for that.
I spoke with the helper yesterday about my concerns and she listened to what I said and apologised for leaving early. We have come to an agreement that she will do 2hrs on a Monday morning but I will pay her 2.5hrs to cover the ironing being dropped back to me. Then the 2.5hrs on the ironing. So in total its 5hrs. I also explained that she can't under any circumstances bring her baby because I can't afford to get ill as I have no immune system. I also asked that if she was not feeling well that I would prefer her to come when she is well for the same reasons.
Had a phonecall yesterday from my friend who's husband has just left her and the 2 kids. She was in a right mess, but she lives quite far away, so I couldnt actually do anything and I felt quite helpless. She had found more evidence that he had been sha*ging around since they got married 10 years ago. What can you say to that????? She is just numb. I said that something good has come out of their relationship as they have 2 lovely children and she agreed. She is going to focus on them. I am hoping we can see her in the next couple of weeks.
WM has been on and DW needs emptying. House clean and tidy.
Breakfast: Beans on toast
Lunch: Tuna Mayo Sarnie
Dinner: Shepherds Pie, Carrots & Peas
Anyway, hugs to all.

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Kaat
Dry but not sunny today, Autumn has definitely arrived.
Thanks for all the compliments yesterday, it was a lovely wedding and I can't wait to see the official photos.
Like others, I am now starting to think about Christmas (sorry for using the word Candygirl) I have a box upstairs that I have been putting presents into, so will have to get that out and see what I still need. I am going to stitch a picture with fairies and DGDs name on it, so have to go to Hobbycraft today - I may have to wear blinkers
Must be spag bol day today as I am also doing that for dinner. Quite fancy the tomato and lentil soup Mioliere, so could you post the recipe please.
Have a great day everyone, and hugs to anyone suffering xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

a late shift at work today for me (11.30-8pm) not too bad! got yummy tuna pasta for lunch!
I work for HM Revenue & Customs in a contact centre. I used to answer Tax Credit calls, but finally managed to escape that after 3 years and I now answer calls about gaps in National Insurance - much less stress!
hope everyone is well!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0
