haha glad i'm not the only one!
I got my shoes from next and i love them!
& if you are wondering why i bought a cake stand its because i'm having cupcakes not a traditional cake lol, i had to buy a 7 tier stand :rotfl:0 -
We were going to have cupcakes and I know the stands you mean! MIL2B has been driving me mad cake-wise. She made loads and loads of cakes for BIL2B's school cake fair but refuses to do cupcakes for our wedding. I think she's disappointed we're not having a fruit cake.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

I've ordered my shoes from Next! I don't evenknow if I'll have and ivory or champagne coloured dress yet but I LOVE the shoes and they're sole reviver one's! Didn't want to run the risk of them not having them and me wanting them! And they were only a bargain £25! Can't wait for them to arrive!0

I always said to OH that I wouldn't have bridal shoes - I wanted something I could wear again. But the shoes I like are SO bridal, it's rediculous!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Hi girls - can I join this thread? Don't have a date yet, it will possibly be next year or the year after, we are saving maniacally for a deposit at the moment so all spare money is going there! However in true MSE style I am collecting scraps of fabric etc to make invitations and lookng at venues - current favourite is Chester Zoo! Our alternative idea was to rent a large cottage with a private garden so we could have a "blessing" there and have a registry office official wedding before that? Is that something we could do?
Also, is there anywhere I can download some "essential things you must do" lists from - things like what I actually need to do to be officially married?!
Been engaged since 3rd Jan this year and loving it! xxMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Mine shall be cream coloured and red frosted icing and i wanted my cream ones to be carrot cupcakes but i can't have them because of nut allergies which is a shame, so i am having lemon iced and strawberry iced and the top tier shall be a fruit cake just to keep all levels happy!0 -

congrats! and welcome
There are a few threads floating about that may be quite helpful to you ( have a look at the wedding ips thread at the top of the board too) and there are many wedding websites out there that i'm sure all of us on this board have looked at, at some point.
Have a look at confetti or bride plan or even YAYW for some help on planning your wedding and what you need to do and when (it varies but gives you a good idea!).0 -

In theory the only 'official' thing you have to do is give notice to the registrar (if you're having a CofE wedding, you don't have to do this) and book a date with the registrar.
As xJayJayx said, there are other wedding forums out there, but this is the friendliest I've found.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
