were having a civil service and and informal rec at a pub afterwards (we've been together for 11 years so decided to keep it low key), so I've decided to invest in a really nice dress that is'nt white or a typical wedding dress but is lovely and I'll be able to wear it again.
have just finished making the invitations so once I've sent them at the weekend I can relax for a few months before the stress of organising the final details0 -
yeh we are having a registry wedding too and our reception is at a function room in a pub too its lovely though cos we are trying to keep it low cost so ive been doing things each month ive made all my flowers (theres a pic on here somewhere ) and have bought most things from ebay xwins :- x2 hair dyes ,mascara, epilator, personalised card , glass photo ,comp angels please throw some luck my way

you know what i love the fact that everyone is being money saving on their weddings, i was having a discussion with MIL2B today about our wedding and she was basically telling me i should have real flowers, no balloons, a wedding dress from a proper shop etc and basically just threw all my ideas out of the window! I know its harsh but i don't really want her helping me plan the wedding especially when its my dad thats paying for most of it. She did offer to pay for the flowers but i would still prefer artificial to real ones so i'll have to get OH to tell her because she won't listen to me...0

Hi all,
Can I be added please. Getting married Oct 22nd 09.
We live in Hampshire and are getting married in Scotland so any advice for planning from afar would be greatly appreciated. Mainly in trying to be calm about not having seen the venue!0 -
welcome to the club!

Congratulations hun.0 -
I'm a bride 2B - although still can't quite believe it's really happening to me!!
Getting married on 3rd October 2009 - nearly half-way through our engagement now and starting to get really excited about the big day :j (have been excited about the bride-2B status since day one!!)
Just found this page whilst looking for cheap stationery - think I'll be coming here quite a lot from now on though!!!
So far have booked church, reception venue, honeymoon and photographer. Have ordered my dress, but still have to find bridesmaids dresses, gents suits, Cake and a DJ. Stationery is my big thing at the moment though - will be happier when I can weigh up how much that will cost!! I really don't want anything fancy so any suggestions much appreciated!!0 -
Hello!
I'd like to join the club, he finally popped the question last night(my birthday) :j
and I'm soo excitedbut starting to feel a bit stressed, we're planning on getting married in september, am I insane to think i can plan this in 6 months? where do you start? ahhh
(when ever i type i keep getting distract by the sparkly thing on my finger, can't see my self getting much wokr done next week;))0 -
We planned ours in three months exactly - engaged Nov. 27th, married Feb. 27th.
Start with the venue and the licence and then plan how you'd like the day to go and make a list accordingly. Dresses from shops can take a while, but ebay and landy bridal etc are faster.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0
