Aww that's good. We stayed in the Hudson- we won the holiday so we couldn't afford to do it again. It was amazing. Are you going to Beni Hanna's restaurant?

we're going to Stratford upon Avon for a week, got a luxury cottage booked and tickets to the RSC. I've never been abroad before so didn't fancy heading overseas just after the wedding, that might be a 1st anniversary treat if we can afford it. We're also having some time off after that just to relax and get back to normality!

I had a fantastic day on Friday. Everything was absolutely perfect and everyone seemed to have loads of fun. As everyone says, it goes so quick, but every minute is just amazing. I had face ache half way through the day from smiling so much! The venue was beautiful, food was gorgeous, the ipod playlist worked brilliantly, every thing was just spot on. The bowls of sweets that we had in the evening went down really well too, oh and quizzes on the table during the meal really worked - everyone had great fun doing them and it got people chatting. We were the first people to get married at the venue so they were all really excited about it too. We had a very posh lodge at the venue which we stayed in until today so it's kind of been a bit of a mini holiday, an amazing weekend. Got to go back to work for 2 weeks now but then get to go to Australia which gives us something exciting to look forward to!

Now I just have to get used to the new name - feel a bit like I'm in limbo at the moment as I'm not completely one or the other!

Good luck to all the other February brides who's days are coming round very soon, and to all the other 2009 onward brides - hope your plans all come together - don't stress about the tiny things because on the day you just won't notice them - the main thing that I know I will always remember is the people that were there to share it with us.

I want to do it all over again now!!

Starla - your photos are lovely, I got some info on the KP club for our Civil Partnership, it looks lovely, we had a run out there yesterday & it's looking promising - we just need to go look round now. Thank you for mentioning it on this site as I'd looked at venues around York, but didn't know about this one, it's reasonably priced - so thanks again & I'm glad you had a great day.

Jooles, how exciting, I'm pleased to have helped! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend KP, they were fabulous and we had so many comments on how beautiful it was there. The views over the wolds are amazing. It felt like a second home by the end of the weekend. Apparently they have asked our photographer to put together their wedding brochure so they will have a new brochure soon with lots of pics of us - fame at last!
