Hi everyone! :hello:
Mine is 5th September at 1pm!
Think I need to start posting on the wedding thread more!
xxJoint debt with OH at LBM Sept 08 (excluding mortgage & student loan) - £34,069
Getting married 05/09/09
To lose for the big day (lb) 2/510 -
My wedding is a month today! I'm excited, nervous and stressed all at once!
Still got to find bridesmaid shoes (anyone seen any - looking for ivory, round toe, no bows, around £25, with a heel but not too high - Next have the perfect ones on their website but no stock to be found), get all the music together for the disco (doing it on an ipod), table decorations, bridesmaid/best man gifts, and quite a few other bits and bobs to get done.
So glad that I have two weeks between the wedding and going away, or I'd be tearing my hair out trying to get all that sorted too!
Going for a bit of a hen weekend this weekend, me, my mum and 2 bridesmaids are going to stay with my other bridesmaid in Birmingham and have a girly weekend. Then my main hen night is 2 weeks after, then another 2 weeks and it's the wedding - it's going to come round sooooooo quick!!0 -
I meet the florist tomorrow :j She works for a florist but is going to do it independantly of them (hopefully much cheaper) She is a friend of a friend. If it's too expensive then i'll go with the foam rose bouquets I saw on e bay today.
Have just e mailed landy asking if they'll cut me a deal for ordering 7 BM dresses from them but won't get a reply till Feb grrrrr. I'm SO impatient lol. Am very disappointed tho at the price difference now the £ has slipped against the euro - thats put about another £150 on top of the price I thought they would be! Fingers crossed it goes back soon!
We're off to Brum on the weekend to look in Slaters at mens suits. From what i've heard you can get a mans suit for £50 which includes alterations! (Thats to buy - not hire for the day) will update next week.
My BM's are causing me a massive headache - I was hoping to order at least one dress soon to see the quality but 2 are pregnant  one was loosing a massive amount of weight and now the other has called me (it was her measurements I was going to take) to ask if we can perhaps leave it 3 months!!!! as she's dieting too. 3 months? That gives me 4 months and if I don't like the landy dresses gives me what? 2 months? Am tempted to buy them at the size they are now and if they loose - they pay for alterations! lol Cant do anything about the flowergirls right now as between now and August no doubt they'll shoot up (all 3 of them are 2 1/2 now)
Oh and we're just about to book the most unbelievably expensive honeymoon in the world. I cannot believe we're going to do it. It's Mexico and the hotel is AMAZING (trust me - It wants to be!) but we're putting the honeymoon on the gift list so that should help a lot.
Ohhhhh and last night I managed to negotiate the hotel over the road from our house from £99 ar room for guests to £45 with breakfast and early check in / late check out thrown in. Most people won't want to spend 2 nights at the venue as it's around £150 a night  (and that's their discounted rate!) so am really pleased i've managed that. Means we can all have a meal the night before
SO much to do!
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

Hi everyone can I join please? We are getting married April 16th 2010, although nothing is booked yet I have got a good idea about what we need to do.
Our budget is only about £2000 but i'm hoping to pay for extra's by selling stuff on ebay and amazon, doing online surveys for vouchers, reviewing songs on slice the pie for paypal money and earning points on Bingo port for amazon vouchers!
The following things I am hoping to pay for by means of the above:
Wedding dress and accessories
Thank you cards
Invites - won £200 worth in a competition
Cake stand
Cake knife
Rings
Bouquet
Registry office
Wish me luck!!Total Debt [STRIKE]£36323[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] £19000 January 20160 -
