Did you know that Poundland opened in Bletchley a couple of weeks ago?
Also Instore opened in Bletchley High street last week.

I'm probably teaching other mk MSErs to suck eggs here so tell me to bog off if you know this already :)

There's also Rock Bottom down one of the side streets off the main road (sorry, I've completely forgotten the name of the road - it might be Cambridge St, I'm not sure).

I haven't been for almost a year but I used to buy packs of big padded envelopes from there - they were really cheap compared to other stationers.

Plus they had cheap make-up (if you could find a colour you liked) :)
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

M&S in MK are offering free tastings of champagne & port today. Hic hic. as they are celebrating their latest new look store.

They also have a deal if you spend money in store you get a discount of ice skating at the centre fro the next couple of days, but I don't have specific details.

#1 - a friend of mine has suffered 'card cloning' from one of the three cash machines at Tesco Kingston. It happened a week or so ago... the Police have apparently removed the device from the machine but I still think we should all be wary - especially at this time of year!

#2 - Tesco Kingston have reduced some of their gifts by up to a half - picked up a bath set last night from 9.99 reduced to 5.97... some others were under a fiver - great for those Secret Santa gifts that work insist we buy!! ;)

Yep, as far as I'm aware, the email is true... she said that she'd been in contact with her bank who said that she was the second person (I've seen the email as well but thought I'd mention it here because it's a friend of a friend and not a hoax (as the sceptic me first thought!))

Burtons? No... do tell the story!

I have been to a similar site and it says that Tesco, shell or was it texaco  and Morrisons is where we can find the cheapest petrol in our area.

  • I must say I think the petrol prices in MK aren't that bad at the moment - they used to be really expensive. I went to Bicester village yesterday and the Tescos petrol there was 88.9p whereas Tesco bletchley 83.9p. I wonder if the new Asda has anything to do with it ? :xmastree:
