They do offer a delivery service, with an increasing cost depending on the distance from the store (most stores have a set limit for delivery). At the CS desk there should be a map with coloured bands which relate to the delivery costs. As the MK store's not open I can't tell you what the price bands are and how far they stretch.
From memory of my time in Bristol their delivery extended up to postcodes within a 50mile radius of the store.
From the website:
"Most IKEA products are flat-packed, making them easy to transport. The IKEA store offers a home delivery service if you prefer. Home delivery is not included in the product price."
As I'm moving to a flat, I'm definitely going for the delivery service... don't fancy lugging my purchases up a couple of flights of stairs!!0 -
Can anyone suggest a decent mobile hairdresser?? I'm in urgent need of my rats tails lopping, and can't get my usual hairdresser to help out...
Suggestions of a reasonably priced mobile hairdresser, or salon (if push comes to shove!) would be much appreciated...0 -
Ikea catalogues have been distributed through the letterbox. One week till grand opening.0

Whereabouts do you live? I haven't had mine....
(not that it matters as I already have one from my last trip to the Outlaws in Bristol)
No details of opening offers, I assume... I wonder if they're not publicising them after Edmonton? All I want to know is if the sofas I want will be on offer!!!0 -
I haven't had a catalogue!0

The catalogue is a general one for all of their stores; however, there is a list of customer service telephone numbers and the one for Milton-Keynes is listed as: 0845 355 2185
Maybe they will have one sent out to you if you call and ask?0 -
Thanks Darbooka, but I've already got the ordinary one , I just thought I might be missing out on special offers or something .0

Just come back from some shopping and the they have the MP3 player mentioned in other threads - just at the bottom of the new escalator thingy.0

Yes, I got one earlier from Kingston - loads of them left. I think I might have to stock up on the old battery front though! :rudolf:0

Information on the MK IKEA store will be posted here:
http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/IkeaNearYouView?storeId=7&langId=-20&catalogId=10103&StoreName=milton_keynes
Reportedly there will be some three weeks worth of 'events'.
The TV ad is here: http://www.ikea-milton-keynes.co.uk/?tvad
It claims 'no opening offers'. That's an interesting way to advertise a new store.0
