The christmas display is unpacked and open, but the multiple Santas may not have arrived yet. What do you call that thing that goes round and round with the horses on it? That's up and running.

    Yup! Er, Giddyup!
  • Well, I went to Asda today and what can I say - it's big, brash, and I think I'll be sticking to Tescos!

I used to live in Bristol, where they had an Asda Wal-Mart almost the same size as the one here, and that didn't feel as bold and brash as the one here does.

Maybe it's because it's new, it's Chrimbo coming up, and the displays are bright and cheerful, I don't know.

Has anyone else who's been there found any 'bargains'?? I spent more in there than I would do in Tescos, and I didn't think that there were many BOGOFs or decent deals.

I think I'll be off to Morrisons or Tescos next week, depending which way I feel like driving!

Went to the new Asda today and was generally disappointed. The wide aisles were good (and popular with the larger than average wheelchair users I normally see in a supermarket) but the food section was no larger than other smaller, but still large, supermarkets. I felt the Tesco in MK (Kingston) is much bigger.

Ironically, the only area with narrow aisles is in the clothes section. I found myself squeezing around other Mums and trolleys/pushchairs in the children pjama aisle.

The car park is big. Hooray ! However, the Mum/baby spots did not feel particulary wide, and certainly narrower that the Mum/baby parking spots in the much smaller Dunstable Asda.

The shopping was comfortable, with lots of cashiers etc, but I don't think there was anything to gain by its huge size. Size doesn't always count !
  • Hey

Don't know if anyones interested but if your planning to book up tickets for ice skating in the CMK for now until the 2nd December they are £4 for adults (Normally £6.50) and £3 for Children (Normally £5.50) this includes skate hire call 01908 398149 or go to the ticket office in Queens Court.

Times for skating can be found on the CMK site :D

Im going in a few weeks, shame i cant get there sooner!
