Anybody else noticed that they are getting slower at turning around shipments?

Sold 35 or so CDs to them on the 8th August, box was in the post on the 9th August, got the email saying "your shipment has arrived" on the 22nd, and the email saying completed on the 27th August. The cheque arrived yesterday (7th Sept).

Even with the 1 month turnaround it's still the best place to get rid of old cds which are virtually worthless (1p on marketplace)

Just googled to find somewhere to sell my CD's and Magpie came up. The site is very very slow but I haven't found anywhere else I can sell them. Local charity shops are now not taking them because they are in undated so 30p per CD is better than nothing. However reading this thread there are mixed views. Does it make any difference if you sell say 20 at a time compared to 100 a time? Just wondering if that may make the turn around faster???? Thanks.
  • a friend of mine sold quite a few CDs on there and got a good price...so I spent all weekend (i know how sad lol) typing in over 160 barcodes! I must admit I was a bit put off by the amount of 30p's, but for CDs my parents paid for I'm not too bothered. Basically getting £100 for nothing - I did however have so much fun finding old songs we used to listen to as a child lol

Thanks I'll give them a go. I did start listing yesterday but the site was so slow it seemed to take forever so I registered, saved and came away. I agree nearly all CD's were 30p except for Kylie, they offered £2+ but I'm not selling it. I noticed in the local charity shop they were selling all CD's for 25p and DVD's were only 30p.

    I've also got a load of 45rpm's - including Abba original's. Definitely a time for a clear out! :D
  • Not impressed! sat in ALL day waiting for the courier! Got sent a text from a no reply number saying they should be here between 12 & 3! No one turned up! This is making me regret wasting so much time going through the CDs! Had to waste a days holiday sitting around! DO NOT USE! my friend was obviously luckier then I was

You post your CDs/DVDs etc to Music Magpie so not sure what this has to do with MM but I might be wrong - did they send a courier for yours twinkley?

My advice to anyone sending them loads would be send in 20s rather than 100s that way if some go missing you've not lost all
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

Don't forget they have you over a barrel if you send them anything, because if you reject their pitiful offer, they charge you to get your stuff back.

I've used MM, and not had a problem. Usually I'm OK with doing the boxes, then sending them through the post. I've not had a problem and I've used them for the past year. Yes, they can be a little slow at times, but perseverance and emailing works a charm.

I do it all because I'm scared.
  • I recently sold over 100 cds and dvds and the courier turned up first thing in the morning on the day I arranged with them.

Cheque arrived a few weeks later. Not the quickest turnaround but it's hardly like I was in a rush.
