The plan is that eventually I will file and sort them all into a virtual recipe folder of some sort, but for now I just have two huge documents.
Why not use something like Evernote? It will save you the bother of copy-and-pasting, and you can easily tag individual recipes (even give them multiple tags). It lives in your system tray all the time, so no need to open up any new programs.
Alternatively you could use an on-line service like soup.io or tumblr.0 -

Mind you, I did a 'Filing Course' many years ago (oh dear - actually 42yrs ago!:eek:) and lots of it stuck with me.
This is good advice, because it never matters where you put something, until you want it again.
And since we found 45 Euros we didn't know we had and all the credit / debit cards we wanted just before our holiday, the system works, sort of! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
My OH sat in some pine tree sap when we were away, I cant get the two blobs out of the jogging pants he was wearing. Found some stuff on here about carpets and sap, but am worried the treatments might be too harsh for clothes.
any ideas? ThanksEat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.0 -
I've been given pint of milk from work in a glass pint bottle (no-one else was going to take it home and we closed weekends).
But I want to freeze it as I won't use it up quickly, however have no old plastic pint bottle to put in.
Any other suggestions?
I may have a shop bought water bottle, and have plenty of plastic tubs (deep ones)
TIA

Leave a bit of space at the top, though, as milk expands a bit when it freezes. You tend to end up with a rather mis-shapen or even a split container if you don't, which makes defrosting it a bit messy. (Yes - been there, done that!

Thanks for the answers to yesterday's query! I used freezer bags, put half pint in each as that's the right amount for me to use at a time, then put in tupperware whilst freezing.
today's query....I am making cupcakes and want to pipe buttercream icing for the top. But don't have anything to do piping. Could I use a freezer bag with corner cut off? Or can you suggest anything else? It doesn't have to look great!
TIA
